I love these eps so I couldn’t pick just one. Here are my three:

“The Fraternity Rents A Room” - The poor guys get stuck with wet blanket Professor Paterson who just PILES and PILES on the homework!

“The Fraternity Pin” = One of the very first eps I saw back in ‘97 on a videocassette set by Madacy. It’s a charming ep where Wally, as always, is fighting with his long suffering gf Ginger but lends Ricky his pin. Ricky has a fantastic date and pins her - with hilarious results.

“The Kappa Sig Party” - Big surprise: the Nelsons get stuck hosting another party, and of course pull it off with elan. Great nostalgia.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this show (hence my av)

What are your favs?

"Publicity for the Fraternity"

"A Piano for the Fraternity"

"The Blue Moose" - My favorite of the fraternity eps.

Yeah these were great too. Nice to see someone from the gang posting on this board.

There was one episode involving mixups between painting the fraternity house vs. helping the codes paint and clean their sorority house. That was funny.

There was another one where the dean was involved in some kind of record breaking stunt, where Rick had to stay in bed for a long period of time. The brothers wheeled him all over the place. Also funny.

To bump another thread down.

I don’t understand what you mean by this??? Could you explain? Thx

Before I got moderator permissions for the O&H forum, I wanted to move the "old" alphabet game down so no one would use it (it was too big). So I moved it down by "bumping" some other threads up. I should delete those posts.

Back to this thread, I like the one where the brothers tried to set a record for being in bed, so Rick was wheeled around in a hospital bed.

Also recently saw the one with Wally Cox as the professor who the boys leased a room to.

The first, I believe, is “Bedtime Story” and the second is the classic ep “The Fraternity Rents A Room” . This latter one OFTEN turns up on sets—between all of mine I think I have 5 copies of it. But one, of them, which I transferred from a Madacy VHS set to DVD, is totally complete—commercials and all. Of all the sets I have/had, Madacy had the best eps and they were complete with running times close to 28 min.

I like this question. Oh, and as far as I'm concerned I'd love to see all those ridiculous time and space wastes of time "game" posts removed.:p There should be a whole separate category all unto itself where every game player can go and be as happy as clams instead of polluting up every TV show thread with game posts. I still never know when a new and exciting actual TV show related post appears because more often than not the idiot game posts always top off the TV show category. Leaving the genuine TV show posts unseen. :(

Now before all you game nuts blow your respective gaskets:D, I did suggest there be a one and only one GAME Players Heading all unto itself so that all game players can go there to their hearts content and the rest of us can avoid like the plague.

Now back to the main subject, the first fraternity related ep. that comes to mind that I like is the one with Dobie Gillis as one of David's fellow students planning something or other. The second is the one about finding the hidden Blue Moose ascot. And the other I liked was the one with Wally Cox as the professor who needed a room.

YES, The Fraternity Rents A Room is a great ep. Wally Cox did a fantastic job as the nerdy prof. Another ep THAT’s A MUST SEE is Wally’s Traffic Ticket.

The Wally Cox episode was a pleasant surprise to me when I first saw it a couple months ago.

Did you ever see the episode with Dobie Gilis and David? It was the only time Dobie appeared and BY THE WAY he even mentions to Dave about his "Uncle Bob" referring to Love That Bob where the pre-Dobie appeared as Bob Cummings nephew. Being a Love That Bob fan that was a fun surprise seeing Dobie.

You got me curious, so I looked up Dwayne Hickman’s screen credits and there he was listed as Chuck, a frat brother of Dave’s in the ep Kappa Sig Party. And you know I have seen that ep at least three times but never really noticed him (I’ve only seen one ep of Dobie Gillis). I’ll have to go back and re-watch Kappa Sig Party, which is fine by me, as it’s a great ep.

But really, watch Wally’s Traffic Ticket. I pretty sure it’s on YT. It’s a really cute ep and FUNNY!

Most of the time when I think of a frat ep I think of Rick.

I've never seen Wally's Traffic Ticket, but I just checked. I never recorded this from TV BUT I do have it on my thumbdrive from the downloads from Archive.org. It's even in color! So I'll have to look for it on the TV when I plug my thumbdrive in. Trouble is with the TV searching for shows is difficult once you go past the first page as none of the other "pages" of shows show up. I would literally have to go one by one hitting "next" over and over till I hit the right title. Unless there's a way to go to different pages on the TV it's a pain. I may have to just watch it on the computer which is a lot easier to go directly to the ep.

Yes, it’s from the last season, which is the only one in color.

I just checked: if you type “Wally’s Traffic Ticket” in YouTube’s search field, the ep pops right up. I really recommend this ep; you won’t be sorry!

Yes, as I said I already downloaded this ep. from Archive.org, it's on my thumbdrive and computer now. As for Utube I have yet to figure out how to download from them, on Archive.org it was easy on Utube it seems impossible.

Hmm for some reason my response didn't show up. So I'll repeat, I already had downloaded this ep. from Archive.org a month or so ago, it's currently on my thumbdrive and computer. As for Utube I have yet to figure out how to download from there, seems impossible, on Archive it was easy.

Why not just watch it on YT without worrying about downloading?

Well, mainly the same reason I don't watch live TV to see my favorite shows. I only watch DVDs of my shows because I know you can't rely on a TV station to perpetually carry your favorite show. I went for 20 years without seeing Hazel on TV and before that it was another 20 year dry spell. But thanks to tapes during that 2nd 20 year dryspell of no Hazel on TV I still was able to see Hazel every week. If you don't record these shows when you can you can kiss them goodbye eventually. One day the ever lovin' Utube censors will take off O&H, then where will you be? My old advice still applies, get these shows for yourself while you can.

I agree that there’s no guarantee something on YT will stay there indefinitely. But I do think it’s unlikely the O & H eps would get taken down. Why not just watch the ep on YT now or soon? It’s a great ep.

But really, at the end of the day, I DO agree it’s nice to have your own stash. And I DO have mine. When DVDs first came out I went gaga over them. I have complete sets of The Patty Duke Show, Little House on The Prairie, Sex and The City, Square Pegs, The Sopranos, WINGS and partial collections of many others, movies, plus what I burned to DVD from Antenna. So I probably have 1,500 DVDs = more than enough to watch in a lifetime. So I’m not really inclined to buying anymore unless I come across a drop dead great deal.

Given my stash, I see the free streaming options as a bonus. If streaming goodies disappear- no biggie - I got my DVDs!

Sounds like you've worked it out for yourself. Whatever works for you. I'm a firm believer in having your own stash, as you call it. I don't want to rely on others to always have it when I want it. But if you're satisfied even if it is removed you'll still have your own DVDs then so be it. I just like having my DVDs sitting in front of me knowing I can watch anytime I want.

Precisely! Now go get yourself 20+ minutes of fun and watch that ep!
