My mom told me that the 2019 season of Judge Judy will be the final season next fall as Judge Judy has announced she will retire. Although it hasn't mentioned what new judge show will replace Judge Judy in the fall Judge Judy will still be active producing judge shows as well as still producing Hot Bench which she also created. Judge Judy is one of my mom's favorite court shows and I hope the new judge show will be just as good and fun to watch

I haven't heard anything. Right now the show has been renewed for 2 more years which takes it through it's 25th season. I never get tired of watching her.

Neither do I. She is sooo fierce! And funny.

I think the show has become somewhat of a caricature and she should take her vast earnings and go somewhere warm to enjoy what remains of her retirement.

Lord knows she has more than enough $ to retire; she must really enjoy doing the show. And since the audiences still love her, doing it is probably keeping her young.

I personally don’t want her to retire. But if she did there’d be enough reruns to last a lifetime.
