"Sorry to report the passing of OTR actor-director Herb Ellis (Dragnet). Our mutual friend Peggy Webber just posted: "Many of our excellent actors have passed recently. But we have just lost one of the ones most deserving of being called an actor He was and is Herb Ellis. He died this morning at his home in San Gabriel [CA]. May God rest his soul. He was an angel to all who knew him. Never have so many owed so much to one man. He never sought credit. But did so much behind the scenes."

Wikipedia isn't mentioning anything about his death at all.

Well, somebody just tried to edit his Wikipedia page and it ended up getting reverted due to it being unsourced.

I doubt they can use Facebook as a source, and that seems to be the only one right now. It took from 12/19 to today to get a Wikipedia update on Norman Gimbel's (see other thread) death.

It would seem these obits could be more timely, even at this time of year. The FB post was 12/26, two days ago. There should be an obit posted online by now, but there isn't.
