So, in the April 17th, 1979, script for "The Girls' School", we see the handwritten note that Zale Kessler was to play Mr. Harold J. Crocker, and Pam Myers was to play Miss Susan Bruner.
Ultimately, someone else played Mr. Crocker, and the role of Miss Bruner was written out, which is probably a good thing: she was too scared of Mr. Crocker to, IMO, have played off him. But there seem to have been elements of Miss Bruner in Miss Mahoney: both unmarried women reporting to the Headmaster of Eastland/Eastlake. But whereas Miss Bruner was a shrinking violet, Miss Mahoney was confident and strong. Had she stuck around, she could have taught the girls a few more things about the Facts of Life.
I did an IMDB search (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0616822/) tonight on Pam Myers, and discovered she'd done some TV, but is mostly noted for her roles in the theater. She was nominated for a Tony in 1971.
This could have been Miss Mahoney:
