Because of what happened with the star of the show. What is the legacy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cosby_Show#Reception_and_legacy) of it? And is said legacy basically erased due to one man's actions? Also, can Bill Cosby's castmates' own individual legacies still shine outside of the main star and his issues?

The Cosby show legacy is a SERIAL RAPIST got a sitcom he NEVER should've gotten!! He was committing rapes before the show ever started and if he was caught there never would've been a Cosby show!

What really sunk Bill Cosby when you get right down to it, was him setting himself up as "Mr. Moral Upstanding American". He did so with his attacks on Eddie Murphy's vulgarity and establishing Cliff Huxtable as a wholesome All-American dad with his wholesome All-American family. He also at NAACP meetings, lit into American Blacks for what he saw as plunging into sorriness with lack of parental guidance. This included open profanity in front of kids and lack of concern for a child’s betterment through education.
To put things into another perspective, remember when David Letterman went on his show and confessed an adulteress affair with an intern? It soon fizzled likely because in no small part, Letterman unlike Bill Cosby, never really set himself up to be clean-cut and morally upstanding.

I'm just glad the Jeffersons has the honor of the longest running black sitcom of all time and NOT the Cosby show.

Actually, if you want to get technical, then Tyler Perry's House of Payne ran longer than any other American TV sitcom with a predominantly black cast. House of Payne produced 254 episodes whereas The Jeffersons produced 253 episodes. And in case you're wondering, The Cosby Show produced 202 episodes.
