Has anyone ever been on the ET ride @ Universal Studios? What exactly is it like? What happens? I don't get it.

I rode when I was there last summer. I really didn't get it either. But I thought it was a great ride.

ugh...i've been on it so many times....you wait in line (usually an hour) then, you go in a room and steven speilberg comes on the screen and tells you about et (it has subtitles in spanish, i was proud, i understand most of it) then you go into this other room where you tell this person your name, and he/she gives you a card, then, you go inside and wait in yet another line...then you finally board these "bicycles"...they're all connected and everything. it's cool though...and then at the end et goes "good-bye......*insert names here*" it's cool..so that's why they ask for your name...

I went on that like 2 months ago! During Spring Break! I went to Florida with marching band and yeah. anyway
The ET ride is okkayy. We had no wait...we were there at like 8 am though, so..yeah All in all, I thought Universal was pretty dissappointing-- we were there the whole day, starting at like 8...Pirates of Adventure is better, but its more rollercoasterish. Anyway, if you get bored at Universal, go to Citywalk-- Margheritaville!! Umm, on citywalk theres this HUGE theater complex-- STADIUM SEATING! it was awesome, cause it was a weekday at like 2pm and there were like 8 people total in this HUGE theater...maybe I'm just overexagerating because the closest movie theater....2 screens, about 30 seats per theater...ugh

anyway, got a little off topic i guess.

It's a slow ride dedicated to the movie et will say goodbye and use your name at the end, it's no magic the workers up front ask your name lol. The line is really cool kinda like a forest. It's a nice little ride. I went on it in April when I went to Hollywood on vacation.
