View Full Version : Could they last? Will and Grace Fanatic 06-06-2002, 10:40 PM What sitcoms of the past do you think could succeed today? Superbatboy 06-07-2002, 01:18 AM Golden Girls, Jeffersons, All In the Family, Good Times.... James 06-07-2002, 01:59 AM "The Wonder Years", "The Waltons", and "Perfect Strangers" could survive today IMHO. I Dream of Jeannie 06-07-2002, 09:05 AM I Dream of Jeannie (I have a ton of friends who watch it, and I think that if it came on now it would have had a lot more seasons); I Love Lucy (everyone loves that show); Bewitched (I have some friends who watch it); Golden Girls (I know a lot of people who watch it.); Mama's Family (a lot of folks watch it.); My Three Sons (lots of folks like it); and Laugh-In (it's sooooooo funny and a lot of folks watchit) Actually I wish that these shows came on primetime again instead of all of those stupid shows that come on now. James 06-07-2002, 12:44 PM Oops! I forgot to mention "The Brady Bunch" and "Happy Days"! DarleneIllyria 06-07-2002, 02:43 PM I don't think any show from the past could last now. The only way the show could last is if they added dirty humor to it. Take 'I Dream of Jeannie' for example, if they made Tony a sex fanatic and Jeannie as a ditz that fits the role for Tony. You get the idea. None of these old wholesome shows from the past could last. It's too bad, because I love old shows better than new shows. I Dream of Jeannie 06-07-2002, 04:19 PM I see what your saying but I'm still not totally convinced that they couldn't last. Central Perk 06-07-2002, 07:53 PM maybe cheers...its sorta like Frasier..it could last i think. Madness 06-07-2002, 08:47 PM Three's Company. I watch very little new TV due to the fact that nothing is really funny. The only good, funny show on now is the King of Queens. LucyFan 06-07-2002, 11:54 PM These would last: Three's Company The Golden Girls APPLEI 06-08-2002, 12:00 AM NEWHART IS TIMELESS IT COULD'VE WORKED IN ANY DECADE! CHEERS COULD WORK TODAY MORK AND MINDY ONLY IF ROBIN WILLIAMS PLAYED MORK! Beruche 06-08-2002, 03:11 AM Originally posted by Jenny I don't think any show from the past could last now.
