Can I swim!? Can I swim!? *Laughs*..... Yeah, I can swim.

I had to learn after I almost drowned in a pool when I was like three and jumped in... That's the only time I can remember not being able to swim...haha...

Hell yeah!!! Swimming is like my favorite past time in the summer. Next season will be my 3rd year on the team.

you ever heard those stories about how paretns through the kids in the pool to teach them how to swim..... well, that happend to me!

Hah...well, kinda. My mom was in the pool (I rememer this really well!) and she was wearing a purple and blue swimsuit, it was really pretty... and my dad had swimmies on my arms and set me in the water and made me struggle to get to my mom... lol

i am not great, but i'm able to get into the water without hyperventilating...

i experienced a tramatic thing when i was younger, i don't even remember it!

so, one day i was just so sick of not being able to even go near the damn pool, that I signed up for swimming lessons. My parents were so proud.

I went to the local pool, in the park that's like 2 mins away. I took private lessons for 2 weeks (i had lessons two times a week). Once my instructor had the day off, so this TOTALLY hot guy taught me. Even though, he forgot all about me and I almost drowned, it's okay...I forgive him..he has nice ankles. Anway.....
then, I took class lessons. "Water Confidence." It was a two week class that met monday through friday. there were like two 3 year old girls with me...i felt so....weird. But, whatever. The two weeks were up, I wasn't that great in the water. I would get realllly scared if I was like left alone. Then, I did classes for another 2 weeks, and I was like so good. I could float instantly, do the turtle, anything. I even jumped off the high dive....all by myself...into 9 feet water. Oh, it was a glorious day. Indeedy it was.

I want to become a lifeguard but, having people's lives in my hands is scary. Of course, that's also what doctors do, and i wanna be a doc.....

but, i don't know how to swim like good enough ya know? like i can't do the breath stroke and all. I can like glide for long distances.

Well, i've bored you long enough with my story..........

Yes, I can swim. I don't enjoy too much, however.

...I don't have a pool in my hole so it doesn't really matter either way...except for when the rains start coming...then I just grab my raft and hang onto the roots...

I can keep myself afloat for a couple of minutes but it's not what you'd call "swimming". If my life depended on it I'd definately drown.
That's just another point on the long list of reasons why my mother is disappointed in me. She was the champion swimmer when she was at school and I think she's pretty embarrassed that I'm so bad at it.
I don't care though. I haven't been anywhere near a swimming pool in 8 years and I have no intention of ever setting foot in one again!

Yeah, I can swim, but I really don't like to. I don't blame you if you're staring at your screen with a shocked expression on your face right now....It's just not my thing.
