View Full Version : MeTV Winter 2019 schedule? BigManMike 12-10-2018, 06:43 PM Seems like it’s taking a while to get it. Any word on it anyone? tlc38tlc38 12-10-2018, 07:27 PM Probably the same old stuff. Predictable westerns during the day, MASH, and Hogan. Svenfan1234 12-10-2018, 07:52 PM I don't predict much changes other than Leave It to Beaver going to Antenna since MeTV has had it for two years and that seems to be the max for any channels having Leave It to Beaver. snowpeck 12-10-2018, 08:56 PM Starts January 28, almost no changes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K7HbanIvbjEEFcSb39n4ATxUKI0waHsm/view?usp=sharing BigManMike 12-10-2018, 09:31 PM MeTV has really gone to the dogs. They have gotten so lazy with their scheduling and run the same shows into the ground and have no variety. This channel is deteriorating quickly. Svenfan1234 12-10-2018, 09:35 PM Guess they didn't lose the rights to Leave It to Beaver. Surprised. Also, hardly any changes, if at all. Wow. And, one thing, they're sure keeping WKRP around at 9:30 a lot longer than they did ALF or Welcome Back, Kotter! I wish Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley would come back. Also, I hope that Svengoolie has some new movies in January, but I have my doubts...:p stevea 12-10-2018, 09:47 PM The only problem they seem to have is that 5 am hour. The 80s stuff must work for them in early mornings, so they are putting ALF in there. They must have renewed the rights to Leave It To Beaver. They must have renewed the rights to Leave It To Beaver. Apparently, but I imagine Antenna will probably still add new shows. Maybe it won't be immediately in January. And I wonder why Me-TV isn't adding anything new. Thanks. snowpeck 12-10-2018, 11:06 PM Do you have info on what the Svengoolie movies are for January, snowpeck? Thanks. All I have is January 5th, which is The Ghost of Frankenstein. Thankfully, Original Star Trek return after the autumn sabbatical. snowpeck 12-17-2018, 11:44 PM January 12th is "Village of the Giants" and January 19th is "Dracula's Daughter." Tubehead 12-18-2018, 09:36 PM i wish me tv would get ride of the westerns! plus comcast already gotten western channel!! i would rather watch more comedies or detective shows!!! pulse gun smoke & bonanza comes on tv land all the time! KRW 12-19-2018, 02:57 AM i wish me tv would get ride of the westerns! plus comcast already gotten western channel!! i would rather watch more comedies or detective shows!!! pulse gun smoke & bonanza comes on tv land all the time! I'm right there with you on the removal of the westerns already. Much like Comcast my provider also has a western channel called Grit here. On there at least they don't play the same ones TV Land does throughout the day. If I could get M*A*S*H and Hogan's Heroes removed as well we'd be in business. MA 12-19-2018, 08:29 AM Remove Gunsmoke and Bonanza as well. Merry24 12-19-2018, 12:03 PM I think the last Schedule overhaul came in the Summer Of Me TV 2017. When they added Leave It To Beaver & The Brady Bunch to late afternoons. A lot of people are outside in the Summer not watching TV in the afternoons. They should of had that overhaul in the Fall. I would of love to see Leave It To Beaver move to Primetime or even Sunday’s after The Brady Bunch Brunch Or 5pm-7pm. Than Decades took ALOT of the Sitcoms people love, Our Mrs.Brooks, Donna Reed, I Love Lucy, Family Affair, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show. In reality it looks like Dramas & Westerns & Sci-Fy is what Me TV is mostly known for. To Me I wish Me TV would give Antenna TV My Three Sons & Leave It To Beaver & The Brady Bunch/ A Very Brady Christmas & Happy Days & Laverne & Shirley because Me TV doesn’t really do anything with these shows for decent time slots. tlc38tlc38 12-20-2018, 07:14 PM I like the Saturday block with “Petticoat Junction”, “The Beverly Hillbillies”, and “Green Acres”. I just wish it started at 8am instead of 5am. mikey0581 12-20-2018, 11:48 PM They show the westerns because most older people that would watch the westerns don't have cable and just rely on antenna. The same to say about MASH and Hogan Heroes, with the ridiculous high prices of cable nowadays, I'm not surprised some people can't afford it. Merry24 12-21-2018, 01:52 AM Don’t they have Insp or Western Encore free channels? Yet Leave It To Beaver & My Three Sons only air Monday’s-Fridays and very early in the Mornings.Only on Me TV. BigManMike 12-21-2018, 07:57 AM With as many episodes as My Three Sons has, it should have at least four episodes a day. It makes absolutely no sense they show two episodes of Hogan’s Heroes when it only lasted 6 seasons. I don’t see how that many people like that show. It makes sense they show two episodes of MASH because it lasted 11 seasons but it’s been hogging the same spot for years and needs to move to a different spot. Tubehead 12-21-2018, 12:41 PM comcast got wester channel its called inspiration!! i wouldn't mind liked add cops or more classic comedies!! i wish some classic station do liked classic version of tgif fridays! i think if me tv wanted to keep the western thats fine with me but show it on different day or time ,but not all the time! i wish they would put on the waltons! its kind of liked western show another good western show is kung fu!! ! It would be awesome if METV started showing The Waltons! ;) I think it would be a perfect show for METV!!!:) Svenfan1234 12-21-2018, 07:46 PM January 12th is "Village of the Giants" and January 19th is "Dracula's Daughter." Do you have any information for January 26th yet? stevea 12-21-2018, 07:52 PM It would be awesome if METV started showing The Waltons! ;) I think it would be a perfect show for METV!!! Thanks, BG and Tubehead...this is a GREAT idea!! Replace one of the westerns with The Waltons! Probably one of the most overplayed westerns is Gunsmore. BigManMike 12-21-2018, 08:42 PM I love the Waltons and would be glad to see it on MeTV. All of the other westerns are lame to me so the Waltons would be a welcome addition. eng51squad51 12-29-2018, 01:29 PM It would be awesome if METV started showing The Waltons! ;) I think it would be a perfect show for METV!!!:) Waltons is still under cable Control. not available to any digitalnetworks TV Guy 12-29-2018, 02:24 PM The reason MASH has lasted at 7:00 pm is because it was a perennial favorite in syndication and still likely rates higher than most of the other MeTV shows. Take a look at the commercials: there are actually some real, non-mail-order spots, unlike on many of their other shows. As for Gunsmoke: MeTV is now the only channel ever to rerun EVERY episode in order (as they now do with Bonanza). Every other station that has had it has only run one of the traditional syndication packages (the 30 mins; the 60 min B&Ws; the 60 min colors). For that alone, it deserves to keep running. stevea 12-29-2018, 07:10 PM MeTV has improved on showing full series--Gunsmoke, Bonanza, My Three Sons, all of which have been shown on MeTV in the past, in their smaller packages. They've shown incomplete packages of others in the past--Donna Reed, only seasons 1-5 (in 2018, adding S8), Bob Newhart Show, seasons 1-5, skipping 6 (and eventually showing it). Too2muchtv 12-30-2018, 04:25 PM I probably watch MeTV more than any other station. To me they have the best variety in their programming with sitcoms, westerns, mysteries, sci-fi, and crime dramas, and I like that they're focused on older shows pre-1990. I'm one of many western fans out there and really enjoy watching Rawhide, Wanted Dead or Alive, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, The Big Valley, and Trackdown. stevea 12-30-2018, 05:46 PM I probably watch MeTV more than any other station. Some of us, including me, grouse about the westerns, but there are a LOT of people watching. Will V 12-30-2018, 07:40 PM Agree. Me started good, but they show the same stuff over and over. Boring. |
