So apparently, Get TV now shows paid programming late at night after The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour. Does anyone know why they started to do that?

The sales people probably said, we can't sell (whatever was on).

Unfortunately, Antenna TV and MeTV are probably taking note. What one does, the others might follow.

If it means not increasing commercial breaks, I'm okay with it.

It never even hit me that most of the antenna-based networks run 24 hours. Given how many OTA and cable channels do so, I don't think it's really that big of a deal.

I’d be glad for Antenna TV to show paid programming in the overnight hours if it could eliminate the credit crunch.

GetTV used to televise in fullscreen but now they've changed to widescreen which I don't like. When I watch TV I want to see a fullscreen picture. A year ago or so when GetTV was still fullscreen, I decided to record the sitcom episodes of Peter Loves Mary and Girl With Something Extra and I'm glad I did that. I wouldn't record anything from GetTV now because they changed to widescreen.

So I seldom watch the channel anymore, because of the widescreen telecasting and also because most of their schedule doesn't interest me. I might check out Sonny & Cher on occasion but that's about it.

That's why I watch DVDs and recorded programs. I hate commercials. It's ridiculous having to pay for satellite and cable when you still have to put up with commercials. Unacceptable.

It could be your affiliate. Affiliates of other stations like Me-TV air infomercials but that is not the national network.

I don't have a definite answer but maybe GetTV is having low ratings during the overnight so they decided to go with the paid programming during those hours, just a guess, I don't know. I seldom watch the channel anymore so they could show paid programs 24/7 and it wouldn't bother me.

It's national. I just checked their website's schedule. Well, if it means they can air uncut versions of their shows, I say go for it.

Considering they air Til Death overnights, infomercials would probably do better there.
