Ever since they released their Christmas album in the 80's I've noticed that Mannheim Steamroller's music gets overplayed every year during the holidays and I would like to know why Mannheim Steamroller's music has become so popular during the holiday season? Is it because Mannheim Steamroller brings a unique sound to holiday music or is it because Mannheim Steamroller does holiday concerts every year?. Because ever since their version of Deck The Halls came out in the 80's it seems to be the most popular Christmas song of Mannheim Steamroller's career and gets overplayed every time rather than their version of Carol Of The Bells or Hark The Herald Angels Sing and there should play Mannheim Steamroller's other Christmas songs more often on the radio during the holidays

The same goes for Trans Siberian Orchestra(whom I love) Their versions of familiar/traditional carols are unique. I think both orchestra's are great!

I got to listen to some of Manheim Steamroller's Christmas album today and their version of Dance Of The Sugarplum Fairies simply titled Faeries is excellent but when I have listened to their other Christmas songs they sound like themes for game shows rather than Christmas songs and I guess they wanted to make Christmas music modern in the 80's
