Almost every day, I've been getting a different number...but the same guy who's probably from Pakistan or India.

The cops can't really do anything about telemarketers! ! They are annoying but not breaking the law!

Same with me!! Just about every call I get on my land line is a solicitation call . All personal calls come to my cell. I never pick up the landline so all these calls go to the answering machine . Doesn't really bother me, I'm used to it I guess! ?;)

You should get something such as a do not call list or Nomorobo.

He's a scammer. Don't give him anything. I had one of those calls and he disabled my computer. Had to get a new one.

There is not much you can do with telephone solicitors/telemarketers, but to ignore them or do what I do, block them.

Calling the cops? What can they do? Especially if the telemarketers are calling from a foreign country? Absolutely nothing.

I used to get these unwanted scam calls but I was able to fix it, I programmed my phone number to accept calls only from specific phone numbers, so now I only get calls from people that I know, people that I want to talk to. All other calls are blocked, they do not go through and the caller gets a reject message. :cool: :)

I would like to do that. It is so frustrating for the phone to ring, you look at caller Id and you know it's a call you don't want to pick up.

Most calls that I get are from numbers that I don't recognize. I don't bother to answer those calls anymore.

I got one again for funeral plans...another scam call from India!

I've been getting calls from these Chinese scammers every morning since this summer from multiple numbers. They're all automated and say "JP Morgan" and then start speaking in Chinese.

I keep getting a lady offering me student loans !! I never pick up the phone , but just about everyday there is a message on my answering machine from her!! As long as it's not those idiots pretending they are IRS agents and they are coming to arrest me saying I owe thousands of dollars to them!! Has anyone else ever gotten that scam?:rolleyes:

I have...but not recently...luckily the calls ended...for now...do those scammers ever have a life?

I think they are grossly underestimating the number of these calls - they have to be approaching 95% of all calls and are a complete waste of everyone's time and almost all of the spoofed calls are scams. They need to just pass legislation making it illegal for anyone not in law enforcement or government to spoof calls in the US. They have the technology to stop all of these calls, but the big telcos and their lobbyists control the politicians

We got one today that was an inmate call according to caller ID. We just let that one got to voice mail.
