Who absolutely hated the re-decoration of the Stephens house interior at the beginning of the 1970-71 season? They even got rid of the Rembrandt painting near the front door, horrors!!! And what was with all those awful Indian throw rugs??

In the summer of 1970 there was a major fire on the set, which, explains the new set in fall of 1970. I agree it was very cheap looking. As the show aged the producers tried to keep costs down and it was very evident with the new set design. Your right those rugs were awful and the avocado green cabinets in the kitchen certainly left something to be desired.

You're right about the avocado green kitchen. Back then those were the Hot kitchen colors.... yellow, orange, green. I had a green avocado kitchen back then too. Bleech......... :p :p :eek: :eek: :p :eek:

Hey did you also know that I Bewitched house was also the home of Dr & Mrs Bellows on I Dream Of Jeannie.

The house looked horrible in the 1970s. It had the "mod" look, which now makes it terribly dated.

The mod look was supposed to be hip back then, we had the harvest gold in our kitchen at moms, while my uncle's family had the avocado green. Everyone was tired of white appliances in those days, I guess that includes the Stephens family. lol!
