He died back in July, but I just found out about it today when getting into work. Was 79 years old, and worked at the middle school that I attended.

Many of my old teachers/school staff have passed away. It’s always sad to learn someone from your childhood isn’t here anymore. It’s almost like a small piece of your childhood is now missing.

I know a couple teachers at my elemantary school have passed.... My 4th grade teacher a couple years ago..... I was glad to know them.. My 4th grade teacher I had 2 years as I was held back in 4th grade a 2nd year.... (They said I didnt do well)

In my high school, the Principal, and the three assistant principals have all passed away, although one of them lived to be in his nineties and was older than my parents (he was involved in The Berlin Airlift and died around 2018.)

What is really sad is that way more than likely my school is going to be torn down, since politics and demographics have made the school obsolete. Might as well, the school buildings are mostly old, the newest buildings are over fifty years old. So possibly in about five years, my old school will physically not exist.
