I am sorry to report that actress Susie Garrett, who played Betty Johnson on Punky Brewster has died. She died on May 24th in Southfield(Detroit)Michigan of cancer. She was 71 years old. Her obituary can be seen at www.detnews.com, click on "Obituaries", then scroll down to hers

I'd go as far as to say she was the funniest cast member on Punky. She had the best one-liners!

The reboot just won't be the same without her and George. They were a big part of the original. I wish they made a new series in the late 1990s when everyone was still around.
