I remember when Bill Cosby mentioned he wanted to pitch some new show to NBC or something and then the whole rape thing blew up shortly after.
I bet had that not happened, we would have seen a come back of The Cosby Show, either under the same title or just called "The Huxtables".
It's sad we won't see another episode of the show. It was a good show.

The attention Cosby's trials have brought would probably make a reboot without Cosby (Cliff died!) more marketable. Roseanne seems to have been pretty cooperative about letting her show go on without her, and I doubt Cosby would do that. Roseanne without Roseanne doesn't seem to be working out very well, so major networks might not want to touch Cosby without Cosby.
She didn’t have a choice. They just kicked her to the curb...in a hurry.

This show was horrible to begin with so a reboot would have been a TOTAL disaster! Even Bill Maher said Cosby is NOT funny.

Cosby had his hand in other concepts such as Where I Live and attempted to venture into other arenas before he left TV in 2000 when Cosby ended. I would have loved to see him do a modern-day family series as a producer and creator. He had great relationships with NBC and CBS so the show could have been pitched to either one of them. I wouldn't have wanted to see a reboot of the Cosby Show. I prefer something new and original. We already seen him and Phylicia Rashad in two sitcoms so it's time for something new. I wouldn't have mind them being grandparents in a recurring role to a new family or something or even elderly neighbors but not another lead in.

They could've called the new show "The Rapist Chronicles".
