Before they started filming that last season, Jaclyn Smith apparently announced that she was leaving the show at the end of Season 5 (which was the end of her contract). It's safe to assume that Cheryl Ladd would've stuck around and fulfilled her contract. And naturally, there's little chance that Tanya Roberts would've left after a single year (following the failed Shelley Hack experiment).

A sixth season would've continued to slide in the ratings and it probably would've been relegated to an even worse time slot.

The show had run it's course and Spelling knew it was time to pull the plug. It was a smart move.

Although it would've been fun to see what the girls looked like in the mid 80's; padded shoulders, outrageously teased/big hair, very bright colors and all that.

I assume that Aaron Spelling would start off looking for someone with dark hair to replace Smith. Andie McDowell would have caught his eye, but she was still mainly a model and making good money, so would have been expensive. I think Rachel Ward would have been a good fit, as the British accent would make her sound like "the smart one" and maybe give her an interesting back story. Stepfanie Kramer would fit right in, and had done some work for Spelling by this time.

I think Jayne Kennedy, Irene Cara, or Lynda Carter would of been a good replacement for Jaclyn Smith.

Lynda would've been a great replacement!

What about Victoria Principal? If she was not on "Dallas" I could see her being a great replacement as well.

I agree, but Lynda was available then. The final episode of Wonder Woman aired on September 11, 1979. When she was in her Diana Prince clothes (lots of turtle necks and pants suits), she was total Angel material. Would've fit right in. She could've replaced Sabrina as the "smart" angel. Oh well.
