AMackII 10-23-2018, 08:10 PM I hope METV's Holiday Block Schedule every Sunday for the 7 weeks(11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16 & 12/23) is shaping up to be a good one.
I’m sorry I don’t know how to. All I can say it came from Cord Cutters news.
I'm sorry, but not familiar with Cord Cutters news.
Merry24 10-23-2018, 08:47 PM What surprises me is why The Andy Griffith Show & The Brady Bunch Christmas Episodes are not apart of this event. Unless during its Regular time slots they will air those Christmas episodes.
Perhaps Snowpeck or somebody can give more info. Thanks in advance.
I wonder if MeTV has the schedule on their website yet.
stevea 10-23-2018, 10:42 PM From this schedule, the only thing that looks interesting to me is The Ed Sullivan Show from 6 to 8 PM on Nov. 25th.
Echo that. Everything else looks like been there done that.
BigManMike 10-23-2018, 11:04 PM I’m sure there will be Christmas episodes mixed into the normal daytime schedule as well. This has a lot of good ones too.
Bonniegirl 10-24-2018, 02:26 AM I see they aren't showing the Thanksgiving Love Boat ep. with Michael Lembeck in it this year !!! :(Shame on them!! May their turkey be tough and their mashed potatoes be lumpy!! :p

Yes I'll probably watch the two hours of Ed Sullivan on Nov. 25th. The rest of the schedule is nothing special.

Did they do it last year?
Bonniegirl 10-24-2018, 12:32 PM Did they do it last year?
Yep! They sure did! And I mean it was perfect to show this, not just cause of Michael, it fit right in ,it was a Thanksgiving themed ep., a Thanksgiving cruise!! ;):)

It's weird that MeTV isn't showing it this year along with The Brady Bunch christmas episodes. But A Very Brady Christmas is being shown, so go figure.

This is awful IMO. Does Antenna TV have a Christmas block ?
This is awful IMO. Does Antenna TV have a Christmas block ?
I agree. They should've added more days or something.
BigManMike 10-24-2018, 02:49 PM This is awful IMO. Does Antenna TV have a Christmas block ?
I like it except for the time. It would be better if it was at nighttime instead of Sunday afternoons but everything on it looks great with the exception of MASH which is overplayed. Antenna usually has a Christmas block all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but I refuse to watch anything on that channel because of that horrible credit crunch they do.
MikeLutton 10-24-2018, 03:11 PM better off watching your own dvds of the holiday episodes
TV Guy 10-24-2018, 09:40 PM That Little House movie was terrible. “It was a warm Christmas in Walnut Grove...” They weren’t even trying.
stevea 10-24-2018, 10:20 PM They'll probably show the BB Christmas episode during the Brady Brunch on 12/23.
It's too bad they didn't get more creative and bring back some of their past shows' Christmas episodes, like That Girl, Donna Reed, and Our Miss Brooks.
Merry24 10-24-2018, 10:20 PM Reguarding Little House I would Of love to see The 1st Christmas at Plum Creek Episode!!
Alan Brady’s Hair Thank you for posting the link! Wow I never thought I would ever get to really talk to Alan Brady’s hair lol! lol! Cool name!!!
I’m happy they moved the time at least to 5pm-8pm.The 2pm-5pm the past few years has been unwatchable being in the middle of the day.
I hope Me TV switches it’s Regular Schedule a little bit for the Holidays so we have better chances on seeing more Christmas episodes from others Sitcoms. Adding The Honeymooners & The Many Loves Of Dobbie Gillis & Car 54, Where Are You?, That Girl.Heck even if they can share some Christmas episodes from Sister channel Decades. Like (Our Mrs.Brooks, Donna Reed, I Love Lucy Christmas Special In black and white, Family Affair, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart & Newhart).
stevea 10-24-2018, 10:24 PM That Honeymooners Christmas episode is really funny. I like it when Ralph is feeling around under the icebox for his present and trips a rat trap. Also when they go out of character at the end and wish us all Merry Christmas.
stevea 10-24-2018, 10:29 PM With MTM they should show that first season Christmas episode, Christmas and the Hard Luck Kid. This is the one where the DVD set cuts out Mary singing White Christmas.
They'll probably show the BB Christmas episode during the Brady Brunch on 12/23.
It's too bad they didn't get more creative and bring back some of their past shows' Christmas episodes, like That Girl, Donna Reed, and Our Miss Brooks.
I do hope there's a Brady Brunch around the holidays.
stevea 10-25-2018, 06:55 PM 12/23 is a Sunday, there's no reason they would not show Brady Brunch, and show the Christmas episode within it.

My bad. Thought the 23rd was on a weekday.
mikey0581 10-25-2018, 09:26 PM A Very Brady Christmas will be on though.
ya every year I look forward to A Very Brady Christmas, one of the best made family christmas movies ever.

Speaking of “The Honeymooners,” I would love to see the “lost” episodes air on Me-TV again. I only have the last 5 minutes or so of one episode which aired in 2012, which I believe was the last time they aired.

They’re airing on Decades now.
TheLogoMan94 10-26-2018, 08:41 AM They’re airing on Decades now.
Oh MAN! Thanks for the heads-up! I’m glad I still receive Decades, I hope to get as many of these as I can. The only thing I hate is that some of the credits will be crunched, but hey, it’s better than nothing.

At least the Decades crunch doesn’t mute the music so I can live with it. It’s on weeknights at 11E/10C

"again?" They NEVER sho-ed the lost episodes!
I agree though that they should show them. I read somewhere that theyre not shown because they're on kinescope and a lot of people find them unwatchable. That can't be true though; if it was how come they were shown for years?
Also I wish they'd show the color ones.
TV Guy 10-27-2018, 02:59 AM My guess is that since ME-TV was showing the Honeymooners only once a week, they only needed to acquire the classic 39. Had they shown it five days a week, they would have certainly acquired the lost episodes package.
Frank Gannucci 10-27-2018, 07:19 AM MeTV did show the lost episodes. I remember seeing them advertised. As far as them being unwatchable due to kinoscopes, it is because that since the Classic 39 HD prints have made their way into syndication and that 99% of stations have HD feeds, the HD Classic 39 makes the Lost ones look inferior since the lost episodes can't be in HD now matter how hard people can try. Since Decades doesn't have an HD feed yet, I guess they can show them.

At one point in time, MeTV did show The Honeymooners five nights a week. This was back in I believe 2008 when they were showing shows like Taxi and The Jack Benny Program on a daily basis.

I knew that they did, I have a recording of one of those episode, though only the last 5 minutes. The credits list the copyright date as 1985, I believe.

I used to have the movie myself on my old PC, but haven't gotten that back yet.
storrs19 10-31-2018, 01:53 AM From this schedule, the only thing that looks interesting to me is The Ed Sullivan Show from 6 to 8 PM on Nov. 25th.
I agree. I hope it’s two hour long episodes as they originally aired and not the usual “best of” 1/2 hour programs. I never cared much for those.

Merry24 11-05-2018, 08:11 PM Me TV also adds Christmas episodes on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. I posted the Schedule and episodes descriptions on the opening post.
stevea 11-05-2018, 08:48 PM I also think, as I said in another post, the Brady Bunch Christmas episode will probably be shown during the Brady Brunch on 12/23.
Merry24 11-05-2018, 08:53 PM I hope your right. It is kinda strange that The Brady Bunch Christmas Episode isn’t on before A Very Brady Christmas.
I’m also surprised The Andy Griffith Show Christmas episode is on only once.
MikeLutton 11-05-2018, 10:13 PM i dont see Andy griffith show at all
stevea 11-05-2018, 10:17 PM It's on at one of its regular times on Christmas day--see the original post.
The Brady Bunch Christmas episode should be at least shown before the movie.
TheLogoMan94 11-09-2018, 09:49 AM Off-topic, but I've noticed Me-TV's 4:3 programs are back to their original 4:3 ratio instead of an artificial 14:9 ratio. Probably won't last, because I think it's clearly a mistake on their part, but I would love for it to stay that way.
stevea 11-09-2018, 11:38 AM I noticed. All I know is that Antenna TV looks way better, IMO. SD programs in SD-how novel.
TheLogoMan94 11-09-2018, 11:55 AM I noticed. All I know is that Antenna TV looks way better, IMO. SD programs in SD-how novel.
It’s been like this since the end of “The Beverly Hillbillies”, so since about 7:30am ET. Honestly, I hope it stays like this, even though I know it won’t.
BigManMike 11-09-2018, 02:01 PM It’s showing with black bars on the side of the screen. They didn’t do it that way before.
stevea 11-09-2018, 02:02 PM Gunsmoke looks horrible.
stevea 11-09-2018, 02:19 PM You were right. They've changed it back.
TheLogoMan94 11-09-2018, 02:42 PM You were right. They've changed it back.
As I expected. I honestly think it's ridiculous. They should just leave the programs the way they were produced instead of cropping them.
stevea 11-09-2018, 04:31 PM This must be a difference between viewing in HD vs. SD. Because in SD, these programs look horrible with those vertical black bars. That is, before they "fixed" Gunsmoke midway, it looked absolutely horrible on my HD TV that has an SD cable feed.
They have been tinkering with their feed for awhile now. Look back a couple of months ago, their picture had a vertically crunched look, that made people look like stick figures. Then they changed it to a more full look--I know they changed it, because the MeTV logo was was way to the right of the local Indianapolis logo. Then, finally, we had what happened this morning, with the resulting change back.
IMO a channel which shows mostly old SD shows shouldn't attempt to fool around with these conversions. They make it a screwed up mess.
Merry24 11-10-2018, 11:00 AM More Christmas episodes added Thanksgiving Weekend. I posted the Schedule on the opening post.
More Christmas episodes added Thanksgiving Weekend. I posted the Schedule on the opening post.
No Brady Bunch Christmas episode?
Merry24 11-14-2018, 11:38 AM I don’t see it on the schedule at least not the next couple of weeks. I would think like another poster said they will probably air it December 23rd. That’s probably also when The Saved By The Bell Christmas Episodes will air as well. Perhaps Me TV aired The Brady Bunch Christmas Episode to much through the year. Now can only air it a limited airring during the holiday season.
stevea 11-14-2018, 11:42 AM I'd bet on 12/23 for the Brady ep. They recently showed S1 and skipped it.
Merry24 12-10-2018, 01:22 AM You are correct according to Me TV.Com Schedule December 23, Sunday at 12pm The Brady Bunch will air The Voice Of Christmas.
I updated the opening post of the Upcoming Christmas episodes.
treky 12-10-2018, 01:31 AM I have that episode on a DVD I have of sitcom Christmas episodes. It also has Christmas episodes of I LOVE LUCY, THE HONEYMOONERS, THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, FRASIER, TAXI, FAMILY TIES and WINGS.
Merry24 12-22-2018, 04:12 PM I wonder why this year Me TV didn’t put The Brady Bunch Christmas Episode & A Very Brady Christmas together?
I wonder why this year Me TV didn’t put The Brady Bunch Christmas Episode & A Very Brady Christmas together?
That would’ve been a good idea to show the episode first and then the movie.
