What surprises me is why The Andy Griffith Show & The Brady Bunch Christmas Episodes are not apart of this event. Unless during its Regular time slots they will air those Christmas episodes.

Perhaps Snowpeck or somebody can give more info. Thanks in advance.

It's weird that MeTV isn't showing it this year along with The Brady Bunch christmas episodes. But A Very Brady Christmas is being shown, so go figure.

I like it except for the time. It would be better if it was at nighttime instead of Sunday afternoons but everything on it looks great with the exception of MASH which is overplayed. Antenna usually has a Christmas block all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but I refuse to watch anything on that channel because of that horrible credit crunch they do.

They'll probably show the BB Christmas episode during the Brady Brunch on 12/23.

It's too bad they didn't get more creative and bring back some of their past shows' Christmas episodes, like That Girl, Donna Reed, and Our Miss Brooks.

Alan Brady’s Hair Thank you for posting the link! Wow I never thought I would ever get to really talk to Alan Brady’s hair lol! lol! Cool name!!!

I’m happy they moved the time at least to 5pm-8pm.The 2pm-5pm the past few years has been unwatchable being in the middle of the day.

I hope Me TV switches it’s Regular Schedule a little bit for the Holidays so we have better chances on seeing more Christmas episodes from others Sitcoms. Adding The Honeymooners & The Many Loves Of Dobbie Gillis & Car 54, Where Are You?, That Girl.Heck even if they can share some Christmas episodes from Sister channel Decades. Like (Our Mrs.Brooks, Donna Reed, I Love Lucy Christmas Special In black and white, Family Affair, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart & Newhart).

With MTM they should show that first season Christmas episode, Christmas and the Hard Luck Kid. This is the one where the DVD set cuts out Mary singing White Christmas.

That Honeymooners Christmas episode is really funny. I like it when Ralph is feeling around under the icebox for his present and trips a rat trap. Also when they go out of character at the end and wish us all Merry Christmas.

Oh MAN! Thanks for the heads-up! I’m glad I still receive Decades, I hope to get as many of these as I can. The only thing I hate is that some of the credits will be crunched, but hey, it’s better than nothing.

At least the Decades crunch doesn’t mute the music so I can live with it. It’s on weeknights at 11E/10C

I agree though that they should show them. I read somewhere that theyre not shown because they're on kinescope and a lot of people find them unwatchable. That can't be true though; if it was how come they were shown for years?

Also I wish they'd show the color ones.

MeTV did show the lost episodes. I remember seeing them advertised. As far as them being unwatchable due to kinoscopes, it is because that since the Classic 39 HD prints have made their way into syndication and that 99% of stations have HD feeds, the HD Classic 39 makes the Lost ones look inferior since the lost episodes can't be in HD now matter how hard people can try. Since Decades doesn't have an HD feed yet, I guess they can show them.

My guess is that since ME-TV was showing the Honeymooners only once a week, they only needed to acquire the classic 39. Had they shown it five days a week, they would have certainly acquired the lost episodes package.

At one point in time, MeTV did show The Honeymooners five nights a week. This was back in I believe 2008 when they were showing shows like Taxi and The Jack Benny Program on a daily basis.

Off-topic, but I've noticed Me-TV's 4:3 programs are back to their original 4:3 ratio instead of an artificial 14:9 ratio. Probably won't last, because I think it's clearly a mistake on their part, but I would love for it to stay that way.

It’s been like this since the end of “The Beverly Hillbillies”, so since about 7:30am ET. Honestly, I hope it stays like this, even though I know it won’t.

This must be a difference between viewing in HD vs. SD. Because in SD, these programs look horrible with those vertical black bars. That is, before they "fixed" Gunsmoke midway, it looked absolutely horrible on my HD TV that has an SD cable feed.

They have been tinkering with their feed for awhile now. Look back a couple of months ago, their picture had a vertically crunched look, that made people look like stick figures. Then they changed it to a more full look--I know they changed it, because the MeTV logo was was way to the right of the local Indianapolis logo. Then, finally, we had what happened this morning, with the resulting change back.

IMO a channel which shows mostly old SD shows shouldn't attempt to fool around with these conversions. They make it a screwed up mess.

I don’t see it on the schedule at least not the next couple of weeks. I would think like another poster said they will probably air it December 23rd. That’s probably also when The Saved By The Bell Christmas Episodes will air as well. Perhaps Me TV aired The Brady Bunch Christmas Episode to much through the year. Now can only air it a limited airring during the holiday season.

I have that episode on a DVD I have of sitcom Christmas episodes. It also has Christmas episodes of I LOVE LUCY, THE HONEYMOONERS, THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, FRASIER, TAXI, FAMILY TIES and WINGS.
