Roseanne was the center of that family although it appears Sarah Gilbert is trying to take over. I am still confused as to why Roseanne would out of the blue call Valerie Jarrett a monkey. NO ONE I REPEAT NO ONE deserves to called a monkey. It is very offensive to call African American women such terms. This is what makes it seem all odd. In the original series Roseanne appeared very liberal having lesbian couples which provoked controversry. I believe Roseanne will have her comeback one day. The people trying to lynch her because she did a stupid thoughtless tweet know this she will have more money then you can ever have in your lives

She never should have let them continue the show. She did it to make amends. They don't care though. They completely ruined the character. Once again this proves that the show should have stayed in the 90's. All these reboots are getting ridiculous.

Agreed I thought when they finished it in 1997 it was finished. In fact they killed Dan Connor on the last episode.

The reboot until Roseanne's death was better then the last two seasons.

Honestly, for me, Roseanne actually "died" when they when did the first revival. She was totally liberal during the first run, and in the second round, she was just a caricature of a Trump supporter. It honestly felt nothing like the Roseanne character we knew. She was a shell of her former self. Now, there's nothing wrong with being conservative, but they really exaggerated it and to me, it didn't work. The revival didn't work for me on so many levels, because the storylines were not driven by the characters, but by politics, and that's really why I think it took a nose dive in the ratings as it went on.

I agree with you! However the reboot was not Roseanne's idea to begin. Apparently there was a cast reunion several years ago from an article I found. Sarah Gilbert was the one that wanted the reboot. The reboot was a bad idea since Dan Connor died in the final episode in 1997. When Dallas did this type of back from the dead in 1986 it marked the beginning of the end of the show

I also agree with you when a show becomes too political it loses the entertainment value. Whether it is conservative or liberal no one cares they just want to be entertained
