Alfonso Ribeiro to Host British Game Show "Money Tree"

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro is heading back to the UK to host British game show "Money Tree", a Family Fortunes-meets-Millionaire-style quizzer.

The primetime show sees two families go head-to-head over a series of trivia rounds. However, the value of the question will be decided by the contestants, so if they are feeling confident that can add more money to the tree.

A pilot version is being filmed at the BBC’s studios in Elstree on Thursday October 18 before a decision as to whether it will go to full series.




It is being produced by Hello Dolly, the indie set up in 2017 by "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" producer Victoria Ashbourne, who previously ran Sony-backed Victory Television, and "Hardball" creator Stuart Shawcross.

The show is also being backed by Banijay.

Alfonso Ribiero is gonna host a game called Money Tree in the UK? I never knew that Alfonso had a huge fanbase in the UK because the only American game show I knew he hosted was Catch 21 for GSN and a talent competition show called Your Big Break and I hope Alfonso does well on Money Tree. I sure wish he could host another game show in America in the future

I wouldnt say he has a "huge" fanbase. He's popular but I dont see this series lasting longer than a season or two.
