First it was Frank Parker her tv husband and now she passes away in her sleep. According to Stephen Nichols her son-in-law on Days she was hoping to come back and I was hoping she would come back. She was on a long time. RIP Peggy we will miss U from a long time Days fan.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Peggy McCay. McCay is best known to daytime fans for her role as Caroline Brady on Days of Our Lives from 1983 - 2017. McCay passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning (October 7, 2018) of natural causes. Her cousin, Denise Keil Smith was the one who broke the news.

To all of Peggy McCay's dear friend and family I have some sad news...Peggy passed peacefully in her sleep of natural causes Sunday morning at 1:00 am. She always appreciated you, her loyal fans, for all of the love and support that you gave her throughout the years. Peggy enjoyed a lifelong career of acting in television and movies. She loved working at Days of Our Lives nearly to the end. Acting and animal rescue were her passions in life.

McCay was 90 at the time of her death. McCay is also known for playing Susan Garet on The Young and the Restless from 1964 - 1966. She is a five-time Daytime Emmy award nominated actress. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. This is really sad news for the soap community. May she rest in peace.

Its cool. just sad news.

I am deeply saddened by this news. She was truly a legend. I was so hoping for a "DAYS" comeback so we could see her one last time but I'll cherish every second she did give us.

I wonder how/if they'll weave this into the show.

I'm sure they will do some kind of tribute for her and Frank Parker some way, shes too good of a legend not to mention something. Likewise I'm still waiting for them to do something for Gail Baldwin on GH. They did something for her tv husband when he died last year. It's a shame that these great actors died in a short time from each other. It's like if they were married in real life instead of reel life.
