You have to love how Wally wants to rearrange the room to have more room when Beaver goes away to school. He wants Beaver to help move the bookcase with everything still on the shelves. I thought maybe he wanted him to start taking things off the shelves but he really wants to move it. Where was he going to move it also.

Wally says he’ll have the room to himself when Beaver moves out and in the next episode Wally is the one moving out to go to State. Those episodes must have been filmed at different times. Also does Aunt Martha travel all the way west for an afternoon? Later in the day she’s already left. Did she go to visit her brother Wilbur or maybe some poor relation Bronsons? She didn’t stay long.

Kathy Gregory all of a sudden became Donna. Terry Richmond looked like he was 30 and Whitey looked up at him like Whitey was 10.

Loved in Wally’s Fraternity how Ward actually warned Eddie he felt like clobbering him.

I thought about that, and you put it in print. When Wally was rearranging the room, I thought, Oh, he's not going on to college now?

Yeah, why would Aunt Martha visit just to announce to Beaver what he already knew? And, after a few hours, well, now I'm off for home again, in Riverside or Bellport.

Yup, Terry is almost Wally's size. I did notice that big difference, too. Stanley Fafara was really small for his age.

The Cleavers were more than patient with Eddie. They warned him about the report card, they warned him about the gas station credit card. The fraternity incident could have been three strikes and you're out. Really, the report card was way over the line.

The report card is one of my favorites.
I like how Wally and Ward are mad with Eddie's behavior.

The girl who plays Beaver’s classmate, Kathy Gregory is also Donna. Wonder why in Beaver’s Book Report she is now Janet. Why not keep her as Donna since it was in a recent episode.

My guess is, it's different writers, and a casting person who's asleep on the job. Or, we're so late in the game, no one cared.

You'd think the actors/actresses would notice. But they're probably told by their managers and the show honchos, just shut up and do your scenes.

The paper girl and the locket girl were also the same actress (I think).

Yup same girl, Chrystie Jordan. She was a bit older in More Blessed to Give.

Maybe, it wasn't that important of a detail because this was the early 1960s.

People saw each episode only once or maybe twice in prime time. They didn't foresee that in the future fans like us would see the episodes over and over again and would catch on to things like that.

Yeah, the girls seem to have been "recycled" a lot, especially the ones Beaver's age.

And one of the girls in the early episode where Beaver went to the all-girl party appeared (considerably older) as the girl he played opposite in the school play.

In Don Juan Beaver, where Beaver has two girls wanting him to go with them to the graduation dance, the first girl, Peggy, is Veronica Cartwright, who played Violet Rutherford a few times, in the earlier seasons.

They could have had her play an older Violet in this one, too.

I've been watching Get Smart on DVD, and I have noticed before actors who have played more than role, like one role during season 4 and another role for season 5, or Robert Karvelas the Waldo/Odlaw and Rose Mitchom the Wenda, which means they've been extras lots of times.

I always think it's weird when one actor plays more than one role on the same sitcoms, for example Frank Nelson and Charles Lane on I Love Lucy and Allan Melvin on The Andy Griffith Show. But it's especially weird when the two episodes that had the same actor aired very close to each other.

I never noticed that before. She probably had no lines so not in the cast. Is she the one he had to kiss in The Little Dutch Boy?

That's the one.

She was credited in Betty Budzak in the all-girl party episode and Betty Lynn Budzak in the school play episode.

Agreed, that would have been a scream.

The older Violet could have asked him to the graduation dance. Beaver would accept, but then they could have had some lines about how icky each of them thought the other one was when they were in the lower grades.

Just like, in the prep school episode, when Beaver is talking to Donna and the other girl, and Beaver says that last year the girl said he was a "creepy mutt," and she says, "Well, that was last year!"

Yeah they all laughed at him for a few minutes as a Sheepdog then all of a sudden they admire him as a football hero and later as a cute boy.

A Donna Reed Show episode where Bob Crane played his new, regular role of Dr. Dave Kelsey, was preceded two episodes before by his playing Dr. Dave Blevins. I guess somebody didn't like the name Blevins.

That's really funny! I've watched every episode of Hogan's Heroes and I've several episodes of of The Donna Reed Show (I think there were only two seasons on TV Land, plus more episodes during a Decades Binge Marathon). I don't recall seeing any episodes with Bob Crane.

IIRC those episodes are fifth season episodes, which MeTV has aired. Bob Crane was on DR mainly for the 6th and 7th seasons. Only one or two 6th season episodes have been shown on MeTV, and no 7th season episodes are available.

The 6th and 7th seasons of DR are generally unavailable from Sony. Within the last few years Sony has made season 8 available, and MeTV has shown it. By then Bob Crane had left to do Hogan, even though he did appear in one 8th season episode. My guess is that was an episode produced for the 7th season but not aired then. That episode and 2 others from the 8th season, were not aired on MeTV. The other two were probably skipped due to music issues.
