I remember watching this show religiously back in the '70s here in the NYC area. It was on at 11:00 P.M. I believe. I was a freshman/sophmore in H.S. It was such a cool twisted show. I was estatic when I read it was coming to TV Land! I saw this past weekends episodes. It was like 1976 all over again for me. I can remember it like yesterday. Only now, the characters seem so young (that's what happens when you get old).
The show was a direct-to-syndication series that was sold only to local homegrown-type stations. Then, it just disappeared and never went into rerun syndication successfully.
The show is not really a sitcom, but a soap opera satire mixed with a twisted dark sense of humor. Anyway, I hope they keep this cult classic on for awhile and have it stir up discussions amongst people who are discovering it for the first time.
