How many episodes of DS did Janet Jackson appear in? I only have a few epiosdes on tape with her. And what happened to her character anyway? She didn't seem to appear in the last few seasons from what episodes I have. Was there a reason why Janet left?

I think she only appeared in around 9 episodes.

It didn't really make sence because while Willis was dating her he was dating other people too, yet when she came back for the wedding episode they were taliking about getting married.

But before that, Arnold said that they had split up.

I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but i'm guessing she quit the show as her music career started to blossom. I believe she started to get very popular musically around 1984, or 1985. With her music career it probably would have been tough for her to work on the show as well.

I always thought it was a shame Janet didn't stick around longer. I liked her character. The way Charlene bossed Willis around was funny.
