“I only did one episode” of the ABC comedy, Vicki Lawrence says, but what a role: She played Dan’s old flame, Phyllis Zimmer.
“It was when I was having a lot of problems and they were rather public” — aka being fired from her eponymous, syndicated talk show — “and I think Roseanne thought she was going to take me aside and really help talk me through it,” Lawrence says.
“So she invited me to do a little guest spot on her show.”

She nailed that character perfectly. I love her valley girl talk sneaking into Dan's office in the beginning.

Vicki Lawrence was really good in this role, I wish we would have had a scene with her and Roseanne interacting with each other.

Yeah, that would have been good. Or invited her back for another episode for it.

That would have been great if they had her come back again. If they had another storyline where they went to their High School reunion and Phyllis was there, creating a tense situation between the two of them. It would have been funny too to see Dan trying to keep Roseanne from making a scene, or her and Phyllis getting into a fight.

Depends on the season it was that you started watching. The series started in 1988, but most of the memorable DJ moments happened during the 90s era.
I started watching the series in the mid 1990s and instantly fell in love with it. 30 years later, I love it just as much I did back then, if not more! :D

There are plenty of shows from the 90s that are worth watching, in my opinion.
1. Roseanne
2. Home Improvement
3. Fraiser
4. Fresh Prince of Bel Air
5. Ellen
6. Will and Grace
7. Just Shoot Me!
8. Party of Five (It's not a sitcom, but it was still pretty good, IMO)
9. Mad About You
10. Family Matters
11. Full House
12. Blossom
13. Friends
14. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
15.The Simpsons
These are just to name a few. I was never a fan of Full House or Family Matters, it wasn't that they were bad shows, I just couldn't get into them. The reason I added them to the list is that there are people who, to this day, still love these shows and watch them religiously on streaming platforms and consider them worth watching.
