View Full Version : Kevin James should have just rebooted King of Queens instead of trying Kevin Can Wait

When you look at all the other reboots that are happening, it seems rebooting KOQ would have been Kevin James's best chance of enjoying sitcom success again.

Most of the cast are still alive and acting. Unfortunately the reboot trend started to pickup steam after Kevin Can Wait had already been set in motion.
It seems likely that Kevin and the producers would have given serious thought to doing a reboot if they had a chance to do it over again.

Oh, well hindsight is 20/20.

YES. What ended up happening was a complete mess.

I am still hoping for some kind of reboot or reunion. Yes most of the cast is still around and I would love to see them do something while we still have Jerry. As it is Spence’s mom is now gone. Ann Meara R.I.P. Not to mention also Doug and Carrie had two kids at the end of the series. Those kids are grown up now. It be interesting to see what’s going on now.

I’d love to see a King of Queens reboot, but I think Jerry Stiller is a bit too old to reprise his role. If he’s up to it, great.

A better premise for Kevin Can Wait would have been to start it off with the mother having passed away, with him as a single dad. The way it was handled indeed was messy.

As for a KOQ revival, it could work, with Arthur having passed away and such.

i think we're maybe living in the worst era, the least creative era in human history, theres no ideas, theres nothing new. we've ran out of creativity, this is the age of the reboot. when in doubt, bring something back.... and then ruin in.

Finally. Someone with common Sense speaking. I couldn't agree with you more. No creativity whatsoever everything is redone rebooted re this re that it's like where is people's imaginations at this point ? I think I could even come up with many movies and storylines for shows and maybe I'd be successful considering nothing else is worth a dang watching anymore. Cuz we've already seen it a million times.
