Showrunner Tim Minear explains why tonight's episode is titled "Awful People.": "It just interested me to think about how first responders, it doesn’t matter who calls 9-1-1, they go and they do their job, right? And not everyone is going to be a wonderful victim who is worthy of saving. Often, people are just awful and ungrateful. And our responders have to deal with that, too.
