View Full Version : Episodes you haven't seen in a long time
shocolah 06-02-2002, 07:47 PM I usually only watch the first and second episodes in the morning but there are some eps that I haven't seen in a long time.
1. The one where Stan's brother comes for a visit and he fakes a romance with Dorothy so she'll babysit his girlfriend's kids.
2. The Valentine's day one where all the girls went to the resort not knowing it was "clothing optional".
3. Dorothy brings home one of the Beatles from Beatlemania.
Are there any you haven't seen lately?
80sTrivia 06-02-2002, 07:51 PM I haven't seen my favorite episode in a while, the one where Rose wins St. Olaf's Woman of the Year and the girls all make the long trek to St. Olaf!!! I love that episode... so funny!!!
jayman75 06-02-2002, 08:24 PM I love the Christmas episode where they manage the restaurant for the man to spend time with his family... That one is hardly EVER on...
angel676 06-03-2002, 09:03 PM 1) The episode where Dorothy and Stan are audited, so Dorothy pawns her ring and Stan sells his car.
2) The episode where all fouir girls are on a bowling league.
*PinkLady* 03-31-2003, 09:29 PM I want to see the one titled "Manglacavallo Curse Makes Lousy Wedding..." but I never catch it when it's on.

Hey, somebody remind me what the "Mystery Weekend" is.
The mystery weekend is a two-parter (I think) where Blanche's museum sends the staff (and the girls) to a hotel to try and solve a crime. There is a crime committed, and Dorothy solves it. But, Blanche's boss is found dead in her suite, and she's accused of murder. It's a good episode from the end of the series.
ConservativeBalla 07-20-2003, 09:32 PM Wow, never heard of it. But...
...It's a good episode from the end of the series.
Explains it; there are a few from the last season I haven't seen becaues I don't like the last season very much.
jayman75 07-20-2003, 11:30 PM OK... the Libertine Bells IS the Murder Mystery episode. I misread the post earlier.
Here is the synopsis according to Lifetime's website:
Dorothy, Sophia and Rose join Blanche on a murder mystery weekend she has organized for the museum's annual outing. If the weekend is a success, Blanche hopes to impress Kendall Nesbitt, the museum's Director of Acquisitions, enough to be his hired as his assistant. Blanche would "kill" for this job, but Posey McGlinn, the other candidate, is her main competitor for the position.
At the mystery dinner, no one is able to solve the mock murder. That is no one but Dorothy, who in a masterful sleuthing monologue solves the crime. All are impressed. After dinner, Blanche arranges for Kendall to drop by her room. Unfortunately, what was planned as a romantic rendezvous turns out to be a tragic one when Blanche finds Kendall lying on her bed murdered — with a knife in his chest...and guess who's the prime suspect.
Blanche pleads her innocence to Dade County Police Lieutenant Alvarez, but after conducting a thorough investigation, he concludes that Blanche committed the murder. Dorothy comes to Blanche's aid and reprises her role as Sherlock Holmes. She establishes that in a fit of jealous rage, Posey killed Kendall over the assistant's job. Dorothy solves the case. But just as Alvarez book Posey, Kendall appears. It was yet another mock murder! Kendall thanks Blanche for making the museum's annual outing a success and assures her that she is still in the running for the job
GoldenFamilyTies 07-21-2003, 11:32 AM And it is only a one-parter. :)
Bad_Company 07-22-2003, 12:52 AM Rose may have AIDS i dont' remember that one...?
One i haven't seen in a while is where Blanche and Rose make a song about Miami.
AllForYou8 07-22-2003, 04:44 PM One I haven't seen in awhile is the Christmas episode where the girls pick each other's names out of a hat and nobody wants Rose to buy their gift. Anyway, when Dorothy and Sophia pick each other names they cheer and high five each other. That always cracked me up.
Rhiannon 07-25-2003, 12:04 AM my favorite one, where it's Dorothy's birthday and Rose takes her to the clown party and she gets a Ha-Ha Dog
donaldshelton 07-25-2003, 02:01 AM I enjoy the 2 parter in which Dorothy becomes sick but no doctor believes her. In the end a Chinese doctor tells Dorothy she has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Having a disease that is at times difficult to diagnose, I sympathize with Dorothy as she struggles to find an answer.
I especially love the ending where she tells one of the doctors off in the restaurant.
iloveTV 07-31-2003, 05:49 PM Last night I saw the one where Blanche had a dream about her husband coming back and not being dead. It's been a long time since I've seen it. It's a weird one.
donaldshelton 08-01-2003, 12:29 AM I especially liked this episode. She likes to play around with lots of men, but George is the one true love in her life.
I also like the part in which Dorothy has to choose between Lyle Wagner and Sonny Bono. A little weird, but entertaining.
*PinkLady* 08-01-2003, 01:13 PM I saw "Room 7" (the ep where Sophia passes out and sees Sal and Blanche goes to her Grammy's plantation) last night. I hadn't seen that for months.
HIGH ENOUGH 08-01-2003, 01:44 PM I would like to see the episode where Dorothy be-friends a writer(Barbra Thorndike) and she turns out not to like Blanche and Rose.

As I recall, Barbara was a bigot. Dorothy thought she was wonderful because she was intelligent and popular. When Sophia's friend (who was Jewish) was invited to the club with the rest of the girls, Barbara showed her true self to Dorothy.
I like that episode too!!

Is this the one where Stan plays Santa at a homeless shelter? If so, I haven't seen that in a LONG time...
