Diane English basically threw Susan under the bus by saying that she had no chemistry with Jay Thomas. But didn't English hire Susan in the first place? I mean to solely so blame her for the lack of chemistry (and implying that Jay Thomas, who helped ruin Mork & Mindy and one observer suggested as really just the male Rhea Pearlman) on Love and War seems kind of tacky and irresponsible!

Granted, Annie Potts was obviously a better comedic actress (given her pedigree with Designing Women and even Ghostbusters), but in all likelihood, the change made the already mediocre show worse. Think about it this way, Potts' character depending on your point of view, did not really fit in with the premise of the show. And at the end of the day, Dey's character might have actually been a better balance with Jay Thomas' character.

That is a big insult to Rhea Perlman comparing a great actress like her to Jay Thomas, who is average at best.
