Clarkson’s daytime-TV debut (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/kelly-clarkson-daytime-talk-show-debut-nbc-stations-fall-2019-1145201) will dictate the exit of another NBC series. Right now, Steve (as in Harvey) reportedly will be replaced (https://deadline.com/2018/09/the-kelly-clarkson-show-syndicated-nbcu-talker-fall-2019-launch-nbc-stations-steve-replaced-steve-harvey-1202467482/) in the aforementioned markets by Clarkson’s show when it launches in fall 2019. But in the long term, the casualty could turn out to be the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives, which has aired on NBC since 1965 but is only renewed through next summer. Days has been on the cancellation bubble for years as one of the last classic soaps still airing in network daytime.

I'm not worried. I think DAYS will stick around a few more years, at least.

Hopefully, it won't happen, but a talk show is far less expensive to produce than a soap, and the four remaining soaps have been on life support for a long time now...

I think all soaps will meet their demise within 10 years but I think "DAYS" and "Y&R" will be the last 2 standing. I think "GH" will be the next victim.
