This is a legitimate channel run by a company that offers free television but with many advertisements, sometimes that interrupt the program annoyingly. Yes, the episodes are already on Amazon Prime and Roku. But this is 24/7, and free. You don't have to select the episode you want to watch, it plays just like a television channel live, and you can leave it on as long as you'd like. The videos are directly from Filmrise. They also have a The New Detectives channel and a Crime channel, and of course NBC, CNBC, Cheddar, Classic TV (playing Dick Van Dyke and other shows), and more.

Confirmation from the OFFICIAL Unsolved Mysteries Twitter account run by Cosgrove/Muerer that it is on Pluto and is legit:

Today it was announced that Pluto TV would be adding a 24/7 Unsolved Mysteries channel to their live streaming lineup. Now you can tune in to a 24/7 feed of all 103 episodes. You will find it added to your Pluto TV app on September 18th, 2018.

Fans looking to bask in the nostalgic glow of Robert Stack’s welcoming yet frightening voice will be excited to learn that Pluto TV is adding a 24/7 Unsolved Mysteries channel. Starting tomorrow (September 18), viewers will have access to 12 of 16 seasons of the classic series on channel 506 as this pioneering show will stream nonstop on the service.

Probably the Dennis Farina ones? The company that does this "FilmRise" has its own youtube channel- and has every single episode on there. I know we are not allowed to talk about those illegal youtube streams, but this is direct from the company

I got a little sneak of this and it looks like it is just Farina. I downloaded the app but I am still happy with something. It's free so that's great too.

Incorrect. It is Robert Stack. I have it on right now.

Right now it's the case of the magic rock and Steve Johnson and how their fortunes changed after seeing the rock.

You can also watch via the Pluto app on your phone.

Another episode now, at the top of the hour, what they call Episode 8. Kidnapped Executive is the first segment - John Grundhofer. Again, hosted by Robert Stack.

The annoying thing about it - and what many would say is a deal-breaker for them, why not just pay for Amazon Prime - is the amount of commercials.

It already interrupted Grundhofer segment once, and now it's doing it again with a commercial break. It doesn't interrupt after each case, it interrupts right in the middle of the case. Right now it's a commercial for Nugenix Free Testosterone Builder.

But if you don't care about that, especially since they usually go back to where you left off anyway, then it's a great way to have UM Robert Stack 24/7.

And another commercial now not far into the Hansen twin murders case (the fire) for The Addiction Network. So it is annoying.

"Donny had purchased five gallons of gas at..."

(Commercial Break)

So it really is best for people who want UM on in the background but aren't really watching it for entertainment and great concentration, just to have Robert on while they work.

What's annoying is they even have a spot in this case - "When we return, Donny Hansen tells his side". They could have put the commercials there.

Shoot, I was hoping to be the first to break the news! :)

I can't watch it, though, for some reason. The link to the channel doesn't work for me. Pluto TV will play, but it doesn't have channel 506. Maybe because I'm in Canada...

A couple of months ago someone posted full RS episodes on the forbidden site and I was able to download the better part of the first 10 season before the channel was shut down.

It's not great with all those commercials, but for people who can access it, maybe those on a limited budget, it's free, and it's a familiar voice and program. I know if I had no other options to have stuff, that would be a blessing.

I just installed the app on my phone and I'm surprised to see it doesn't only have the channel. You can also go to the "Free Movies & TV" area and choose to watch any of the Amazon Stack episodes that you want.

I’ll stick with Amazon. I can’t stand commercials. Plus, there isn’t any content available via Pluto that isn’t already available on Amazon. Hard pass.

That's cool. Not everyone can afford Amazon Prime (which just raised their price this year) so to each their own.

Found it just the other day on "Tubi TV" (all 12 seasons)

https://tubitv.com/series/3046/unsolved_mysteries_with_robert_stack

I've checked it out and it seems to be another free, ad-supported option.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tubi

The one main difference between it and Pluto here is that, on Tubi, there are no commercials and it plays exactly as it would on someplace like Amazon, or off a DVD etc.

The PlutoTV channel is cool for what it is. I wish there was more variety with the commercials and they were in appropriate spots. I'm so sick of hearing about Perillo tours and landlords and how smooth someone is. If you just have it on as background noise, it's a decent offering and definitely increases UM visibility.

If you really love the series, though, pay for Amazon Prime.

Long time lurker, here, and a big fan of UM of recent so just signed up to post. At first, it didn't seem to stream at all in the UK/England so I wrote them an e-mail and they responded pretty quickly regarding third party consents and locations etc. But all of a sudden it seems to be working, now, if I jump to their news week channel and then hit the back button once the News segment starts playing. Odd, but good news for me :)

I suppose I ought to really invest in the boxset or amazon tv.

I tried that Tubi TV that Hucksterz85 suggested, but due to being in Europe/EU laws it won't play over here. Oh well.

I posted in another streaming thread and others here let me know the "On Demand" option at Pluto is worlds better than the stream that comes up right away. Far fewer interruptions and not nearly as much buffering. Here is that link ...

I love the concept of this channel. It is a shuffle of random episodes that we would only dream of five years ago. I do agree the commercials are brutal. Not the interruptions the content part.

Are you watching the On Demand channel or this link?

http://pluto.tv/watch/unsolved-mysteries

I would heavily advise against watching that channel. It's unwatchable for all the reasons people have mentioned here.

It's a shame that link redirects (because of my UK location) to https://www.eu-landing.corp.pluto.tv/ and not directly to UM. I'll have to investigate further but it looks like their OD where I am is evasive: but it may be somewhere within all the fancy graphics-intensive layout. Call me old skool but sites these days have gotten overly fancy/video-game like. :) Mind you - I've never even owned an iPod so I'm definitely in the minority in terms of tech.

But I'm just glad Pluto.tv still has UM segments available here in UK.

You are correct about that!
Good luck with the feed. Stinks that it's so tough to watch directly over there.

Can you get a VPN and set it for the US?

vm

Well - I tried a 3 day trial with Nord VPN but I wasn't really needing it for anything, at the time. I suppose it's worth looking into but I really haven't looked into needing a VPN as yet. Most of the streaming I do is via youtube and it's rare that there's videos unavailable to watch. Mind you - it does sometimes happen if I want to watch, say something similar to the Fifth Estate, Canadian crime docs - some work some don't for me.

It's cheap enough so I should really get one. Always handy to have. Not sure how 'private' these things really are, though. I think if the government wants to know what one is up to - it's a nice idea to have people thinking they're anonymous when really, they're not? :)

Thanks for the link. I have never heard of this site before but it actually works here in Canada (for now....). Got me through a boring day at work and no annoying commercials either!
