New channel Folk TV launched recently on Dish (channel 218). I can't seem to see anything website or anything on the Internet for it
So far, Folk TV shows are:
Life of Riley
Jack Benny
Adventures Ozzie & Harriet
Andy Griffith
Bonanza
Roy Rogers
Sargent Preston

Weekends are filled with Forensic Files & movies
Mon-Fri has a lot of TBA blocks that needs to be filled.
It seems to have some sort of programming deal with program distribution company Trifecta Entertainment as Last Shot with Judge Gunn, Forensic Files and Celebrity Page air on Folk TV (Judge Faith also airs) Are the movies Folk TV shows all public domain? Forensic Files seems to be a program that can be acquired by any old channel. Why is this? Wasn't infomercial channel ICTV (channel 81) showing a few episodes a day of Forensic Files, has this stopped now?

I'd kind of like to see Life of Riley. When does it come on?

According to the Dish guide, Life of Riley is on September 14th at 4:30am. It doesn't show any more showings. :)

They have a deal with Trifecta ? Awesome can't wait to see Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles airing on there a Saturday or Sunday !

It looks like I missed it. It looks like two episodes of My Little Margie are scheduled to air tomorrow morning at 8:00am central time.

A lot of this sounds like public domain programming. That might even apply to some Andy Griffith episodes.

I doubt this channel will last long ,probably gone in a few weeks if it's only showing the public domain episodes. Are the episodes of Roy Rogers and Bonanza and the other older series just the public domain episodes?

I did catch the airings of Ozzie and Harriet and Beverly Hillbillies- I believe they were public domain episodes:


OH: The Day After Thanksgiving
BH: The Clampetts Strike Oil

A lot of times PDs are easy to spot. Most of the time they either cut original themes or substitute other music in place of the familiar theme.

It looks like two episodes of My Little Margie are scheduled to air tomorrow morning at 8:00am central time.

And it looks like The Roy Rogers Show is playing instead. :(

This channel will hardly last long if all it is showing is the public domain episodes of these shows? No online presence either. This will be gone in a week or two.

Folk TV actually have a Facebook page. They are adding TV series Route 66 and The Saint from next week. Also from a post from before they launched it they said they were going to be airing Divorce Court but it doesn't seem to be showing. Celebrity Page also seems to be off the schedule since it launched.

Where I can find a schedule for the channel? They air some rare movie stuff from time to time and I need to see what they air.

I think for the movies they have some deal with Rigel Entertainment and World International Network, almost all of them are made-for-television stuff.

Sounds like a lousy channel to me.

Folk TV is adding Space 1999 and Secret Agent (Danger Man) to its schedule
