Good schedule for Halloween.:) Last year Svengoolie aired The Brides of Dracula for his pre-Halloween movie, and the year before Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein. This year is unknown, but it may be a William Castle classic new to MeTV like 13 Ghosts or The Tingler. I've seen the Universal Mummy movies of course, Son of Frankenstein, Island of Lost Souls, and Ghost and Mr. Chicken on Sven.

A&C Meet Frankentstein and The Ghost And Mr Chicken have both become annual October traditions.

Both 13 Ghosts and The Tingler are a lot of fun.

I was happy to see on Oct 14 Mummy's Boys (1936) is being aired, it's from one of the lesser known comedy-duos Wheeler & Woolsey, who like most of the comedy teams from back then tried to transition from Vaudeville to film. It's a fun little film.

Also nice to see there's a little more variety in their schedule this year, while they're airing some of their regulars, they're also showing some lesser knowns, and a few movies I haven't seen them air before, or at least wasn't aware that they had before.

Svengoolie's airing The Return of the Vampire (Bela Lugosi) October 6th and Cry of the Werewolf (1944) October 13th. Not sure if TCM aired either of those or not. But they're new to Sven's show. He aired The Ghost and Mr. Chicken last October, and this past July. A&C Meet Frankenstein airs every year on Sven, usually around Halloween.

I can't wait to see 13 Ghosts and The Tingler, and hopefully this means he can get other William Castle movies like Strait-Jacket. That one I've seen Sven's local promo for and it looks interesting.

Straight-Jacket is really good, it's being released as a double feature with the other Crawford horror film Berserk! on Blu Ray.

Though He Who Gets Slapped (1924), isn't a horror film- I'm guessing it's on the list because of Lon Chaney, it's a fantastic film.

Svengoolie's showing Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein on Oct. 20 and 13 Ghosts on Oct. 27 for his Halloween lineup. He almost every year shows Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein around Halloween, so this year is no different, but last year it was shown late November.
