I would like Gimme a Break as long as they don’t crunch credits. But Cozi is very hit and miss with that. Some shows they put their own customized small credits on over the ending scene or just skip them altogether while other shows they play the full credits as they should.

Who’s the Boss or the Golden Girls would be nice too as long as the credits are intact.

It took the timeslot that might've gone to Murphy Brown which should've had an hour instead, now Murphy is hardly shown on Antenna and the shows everyone wanted like Head of the Class, The Hogan Family, Silver Spoons and Growing Pains get buried while shows like Coach and Gimme a Break hang on. And also, the reason I paired them together is not because I hate them (I do hate Gimme a Break, I like Coach in small doses) but they're both distributed by NBCUniversal and Cozi is owned by them. Weekend afternoons aren't good enough, Antenna, we want those 80s sitcoms EVERY day. So yes, I wish both would go to Cozi.

Cozi's main problem is that it VERY heavily edited. It's as bad as a Viacom network.

Murphy should be getting 9-10pm or 10-11pm but because of Coach, Murphy is almost pushed to the graveyard hours. Hopefully this is rectified with the next schedule change, Murphy has too many episodes to be shown once a night. And the Weekends are on a different cycle, so your argument is invalid for that. And I'm glad it's getting two marathons, I only wish the September 26 one was all day as well as November 14.

I meant in the summer it should have been at 9-10PM or 10-11PM instead of 11-11:30PM. It had 10 seasons and that's way too much for a 1-episode-a-night run. I suspect Coach is only on primetime because Barney Miller would go well with both Coach and Alice, considering it is a male-led show therefore it could lead into Coach, and a workplace comedy, meaning it could follow Alice. But the primetime lineup could've been Alice 8-9pm, Murphy 9-10pm, Barney 10-11pm and Coach 11-11:30pm where it was. And by the way, years ago when MeTV ran the original MacGyver, they aired it at the same time as the new episodes, so Antenna could do the same thing if they so desired.

Well, Cozi added Will and Grace last fall, and The Nanny this winter. Both are female-led shows. Maybe it's another female-led sitcom from the 90s or 2000s, or female-led in general? I'm thinking (even though they haven't worked with Disney) The Golden Girls could fit the female-led criteria, but then again so could One Day at a Time but I think One Day at a Time will get picked up by MeTV. Obviously it's not M*A*S*H and probably not Happy Days considering MeTV still has the rights.

And by the way, years ago when MeTV ran the original MacGyver, they aired it at the same time as the new episodes, so Antenna could do the same thing if they so desired.MacGyver is a remake with a different cast. That's what I was thinking, but I still feel like it's a sitcom he's hinting at, and I'm pretty sure MeTV is just giving Batman a rest for now, I think they still air it on Heroes & Icons. I think MeTV also has Family and Here come the Brides. Marcus Welby would make a nice pair with Emergency on Cozi, and Room 222 and The Waltons haven't been shown on any digital channel.

Is The Rookies any good? I'm a very selective crime drama person and I'm not huge on police dramas but there are some I like.

Yeah!! It was really good!! ;)I haven't seen it in years but I loved it first run as a little girl and in my early teens! It was on quite a few seasons! My Mom and Sister loved it too! ;) Kate Jackson was in this playing one of the Rookies wives and she was a nurse! ;)

Yeah, Mad About You is in syndication; in fact, it's on locally here. On the other hand, the same is true of MASH. They seem to sell that to any and all takers.

I just found out Get TV is gonna show some Dan August eps. Next Saturday and the Saturday after that along with Hawk another show Burt Reynolds was in as a tribute to him! ;)

If it continues they might be airing less and less classics. Say what you will about Me-TV always keeping M*A*S*H and Hogan's Heroes in the same slot, but at least they are still a network fully committed to an all-classics lineup. Next up on Cozi's bucket list will be modern shows that fit with The Office like Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock. :rolleyes:

I know! It's very sad! :( I forget how? Channel surfing I guess is how I discovered I had Cozi about 5 or 6 years ago ! I came upon Lassie, the real old ones with Jeff and I was like "Oh how cool.I love Lassie , what station is this?" And around that time was when I started watching Here's Lucy on Cozi ! So yeah, going from Lassie and Lucy to stuff like the Office is sad! :(

Or Logo, but Cozi edits a lot more out of a show than Antenna or MeTV shows. They take the 22-minute show and edit it by an additional two minutes.

What I think a lot of people here don't (and will never seem to realize) is that not everyone has the access/resources to streaming or DVD, so if they have Cozi and they've always wanted to see The Office, it's great for them.

I'm not gonna continue this rant because I don't want a flame war to start, but I'm gonna leave my two cents at that.

Esp.after we all were naming old shows that we wish it would be , it was pretty clear nobody posting was interested in seeing a newer show like the Office, yet we were all being strung along only to hear this disappointing reveal!! :confused:

It seems like NBC coordinates Cozi programming with the parent network. I'd guess they're testing or trying to build an audience for a potential reboot of the series.

That plus they're pretty much doing what they did with Will & Grace. They're airing older episodes in order to generate hype for the revival and also gain new fans. If it worked for W&G, there's no harm in trying with another popular show.

I wonder if there is something that's preventing Chico And The Man from being seen. No full seasons have been issued on DVD, and honestly I don't remember when the series last aired in syndication, seems like it's been a long time. Maybe it has something to do with the Freddie Prinze tragedy, I don't know. I think Chico And The Man would be a good fit for Antenna TV if they would acquire the series and run the episodes.

1. There are only 88 episodes, not desirable for syndication.
2. It doesn't have a good syndication history, probably due to shortage of episodes.
3. There are a lot of derogatory slurs, which might not go over well in today's world. (although it still works with Sanford and AITF).
4. The ratings slipped after the first season, and really tailed off in the last two. It's surprising a fourth season was even done, after Prinze committed suicide.

Chico did play on TV Land a while ago when TV Land was cool and retro! :)So it was many years ago!! ;)

Honestly, that's a pretty good pickup for an antenna-based channel. I get why it's a bummer, but it makes sense if they air it alongside Will and Grace. There's still a lot of people who enjoy The Office, in spite of it airing on cable networks, syndication, or Netflix.

I also understand why the posters here feel let down after being in suspense, but this network is going after a mainstream audience, and this may help them.

They took Quincy off too. They have most of their retro shows on the weekends. I could put up with the Nanny but W & G and The Office are not classics. Anything from this century isn't and I think they are just using the network to promote a new Office series they are planning to premiere.

I never really watched Cozi anyway when it came in good! They play too much Murder, She Wrote, Little House on the Prairie and Frasier IMO! They have too little variety.

The Office will start on January 1 with a Season 1 & 2 marathon, and then begin airing in its regular time period, a two-hour block starting at 10 PM ET.

It would be nice if they showed Dick Van Dyke and Make Room for Daddy more and showed them in the evening instead of burying them in overnight hours when most are sleeping.

I feel like the reason Cozi TV is adding The Office is so NBC can test the waters for a revival which they've been hinting at, similar with what happened with Will & Grace. Kind of like what WB did for Murphy Brown on Antenna, but since that reboot is failing in the ratings, I feel like Antenna might not hold on to it much longer.

I've noticed that Cozi TV has also dropped Kojak along with two hours of the Rockford Files on Sunday. They have replaced Kojak along with the two hours of the Rockford Files with Hart to Hart.

I predict that Cozi TV will eventually stop showing classic shows period. Their primetime schedule is pure crap.

Anyone know how the permanent schedule works out? The Office is going to Will and Grace's spot, so are they leaving?
