Shelley Hack also starred in another ABC TV series a few years after Charlie's Angels called Jack & Mike (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_and_Mike) that only lasted one season.

Prior to that, Hack also starred in the CBS series Cutter to Houston (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cutter_to_Houston) in 1983, which only lasted for nine episodes.

She was even the female lead in Night Court for long enough to take one publicity shot and do a table read.

Not a very good actress IMO. She's more suited for modeling and making tv commercials.

One interesting comment that I read is that Shelley Hack was would happen if you got Cybill Shepherd minus the charisma.

It's because she's a hack!

Hack really wasn't that good looking. Tanya Roberts was the hottest Angel and she was only in the last season.

I don't know how truthful this is, but I heard that at Shelley was not good at remembering her lines in the beginning, so they basically gave up on her and split up her lines between Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd. They hired an acting coach for Shelley and she refused to go to him. She was also allegedly difficult (https://interviews.televisionacademy.com/interviews/nolan-miller?clip=77645#interview-clips) with the wardrobe and hair people. Tanya Roberts was considered in 1979 as Kate Jackson’s replacement but they went with Hack because of the Charlie commercials she was doing at the time.

Speaking of Tanya Roberts, why didn't she herself have any lasting success (https://whatculture.com/film/10-actresses-whose-careers-didn-t-flourish-after-they-were-bond-girls?page=8) as an actress? After Charlie's Angels, she appeared in The Beastmaster, Sheena, and Roger Moore's final James Bond film A View to a Kill. Many of Tanya's post-Charlie's Angels work was in B-movies and late night softcore Cinemax/Showtime of type fare. She did have a pseudo comeback of sorts as Midge Pinciotti on That '70s Show, but she left the show after the third season when her husband became ill. And her last credited onscreen acting role was in 2005, about 16 years before her death.
