With so many family oriented sitcoms making a huge comeback to TV will there be a chance to see sitcoms with military families return to TV again? Because I find it odd that since Major Dad ended in 1993 it's been hard to find sitcoms that feature military families on TV today. Is it because people think that military family sitcoms are hard to create or is it because people think that military family sitcoms will have a sad storyline? Because when Major Dad debuted on CBS in 1989 Gerald McRaney was a good role model for military fathers in the title role of Major Dad and everyone thought Major Dad would be the start of a military family sitcom genre. But you never see military family sitcoms on TV anymore and with the military a hugely popular career right now sitcoms that feature military families should make a successful comeback to TV indeed
