Lucas continues to fiddle with RETURN OF THE JEDI and Answers About Threepio's Noggin!
Hey folks, Harry here... Seems that George is going to be doing more fiddling still with RETURN OF THE JEDI, I suppose digitally removing the Ewoks and creating his initial lizard people is out of the question... ahem... But AAAANNNYWAYYY Seems that George is gonna have Natalie Portman doing something in Jedi, I imagine this will have something to do somewhere with the celebration sequence, because I swear to God if he makes her a blue shimmery ghost thing somebody is gonna need an asswhuppin'. We've also heard that Jar Jar was going to end up in A NEW HOPE. (Please don't hit me, I bear only the message) George also recently revealed that R2D2 and Threepio get their memories wiped in Episode 3 for reasons not yet revealed. So there ya go.
Hey Harry,

Comingsoon.net has posted an article that says that Lucas has confirmed Natalie Portman's involvement in the new scenes being shot for the original trilogy. She is going to shoot scenes for Return Of The Jedi during the production of Episode III.

Here's the quote: "He also told MTV that Natalie Portman has signed on to be a part of the new scenes being filmed for Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. She'll shoot scenes during the production of Episode III."

I don't like that idea. When you're fiddling with classics like that, it always tuns out bad. I suggest you keep it the way it is. Let the past be behind us and let us cherish it! ¡Viva la revolucion!

First of all, I wouldn't put any credit to this "rumor" that has surfaced on the Aint It Cool News website. Any one of us can sign on to that site and post any "news" we have heard about any film or series.

I wouldn't believe it, Star Wars fans.

If, and this is a big if, Lucas decides to do some sort of scene with Miss Portman, I would imagine it will be some sort of a "flashback" scene.
In ROTJ, Luke asks Liea about her mother, Liea briefly describes the vague memories she has of Padme, because "She died when I was very young." Perhaps, they will insert a scene of Padme with an infant Liea.

Of course, this in my opinion is just a silly rumor, so I would just disregard the whole thing, until there is some more evidence to back it up.

Even though Lucas has already denied this rumor, it would still be pretty odd to have Natalie Portman in a flashback scene. There has never been flashbacks in Star Wars, so I doubt Lucas will break that tradition.

Good point, Cokies.

Besides, I think he did enough tinkering with the special effects in "Special Editions," so why fix what aint broke?
