Now I won't be able to watch it anymore.

I suspect we are losing that channel, too. It has become a favorite. Hope many complain and the PTB will listen.

Which means that they are probably in discussions with a replacement affiliate in Boston, so they have it as a placeholder so people won't keep asking.
WBZ was a CBS O/O station so it was part of the agreement that Weigel made to carry StartTV on all the CBS O/O stations.

I don't think Weigel will let advertising dollars vanish with an established viewership and format - It says soon, so discussions are probably on going on as we speak :)

We’re losing it in Philly too. We have FIOS. I liked some things about Decades but the scheduling took some getting used to. And when I did figure it out, it changed yet again. :crazy: Still, there were some shows I had rarely seen before, including films I had never seen (“Ladybug, Ladybug” from 1963). ( I am underwhelmed by the shows on the new channel (I like “Angel” and “Closer”), but I will probably end up checking it out nevertheless.

Decades site shows it’s moving to that stupid low powered WQEK 36.2 in Memphis that is almost impossible to get with an indoor antenna. I hate to lose it. Start sounds ok but I hope it’s not replacing Decades on WHBQ 13.3. I wish Start would replace Antenna instead.

Really bad news for Memphis. Heroes and Icons is replacing Escape on WHBQ 13.2 and Escape is just shifting to 13.3 kicking Decades to this horrible low powered WQEK 36.2 which is owned by DTV America and has horrible signal and doesn’t even cover most of the area. What makes me even more mad is their binge marathons for the summer have been crap for the most part then they finally show the Beverly Hillbillies and Get Smart the next two weekends and I was looking forward to those then they have to pull this affiliate change so I won’t get to see them. Not happy at all. And we still aren’t getting Start which isn’t great but would have been better than Heroes and Icons. I wish I could have lost Antenna instead because I don’t want that credit crunch network but instead I lost a good network.

The only streaming service that has Decades is YouTube TV which is $40 a month and I can’t afford that right now. I have a cheaper one called NKT.TV and I have their cheapest package at $5 a month and it has Bounce, Get, Cozi, Light, and Buzzr and a few other religious and infomercial channels. I mainly have it for Buzzr and Light. I wrote them and asked if they would pick up Decades. I hope they can.

GREAT! I know it won't be on 2 because that's ME TV so it'll have to be 3, 4, or 5.

I checked to see if it was on the list, but no luck. :(

Yesterday though, did see a commercial promoting Start TV.

I know the only change we have in southeast wisconsin is were losing the movies channel on 12.2 and getting Justice Network which is pretty cool because it has Rescue 911 on it which is a show I grew up on. I haven't seen any change on Decades yet time will tell though. I hate if I lose that channel too because I just love that channel too.

The schedule appears pretty skimpy......multiple hours of the same shows. I can’t imagine I’ll tune in very often.

This is a lousy change. I liked Decades afternoon schedule of retro sitcoms and was especially enjoying Newhart every day. Now it's nowhere to be found. I'm also in an apartment and an area that picks up very few OTA channels with an antenna, so it won't matter if it returns that way.

StartTV is a nothing channel. I wish decisions were made by those who really like TV and know good shows from bad shows. Instead, they're made by people who seem to think viewers are monkeys who will watch anything that's put in front of them.

We still get it in the Louisville Kentucky area as far as I know. I say that because it’s on a very low power station (21.5) that usually doesn’t come in during the summer months (for whatever reason) although it’s on right now as I type this. I enjoy Decades quite a bit. I don’t know about Start TV but I do wish we’d get Comet TV here.

And to make things worse, I was just about to cave in to getting a YouTubeTV subscription, only to find they have replaced Decades with Start, so that’s out the door. It will be a nightmare trying to find the right angle for the Antenna and the cord to get this joke of a station to come in over the next few weekends.

It’s extremely difficult to get when it’s through the TV tuner but works a little better when it’s through the converter box except the cord is very sensitive and I have to get it just right for it to come in. I was getting it fine last night but tonight it’s pouring down rain and thundering so it’s not working at all even on the converter box so no Hillbillies tonight. Hopefully the weather will act right and maybe I can see it tomorrow. Shame on Fox 13 for ditching it for that stupid Heroes and Icons channel.

Start TV's company vice chairman says that the channel will be more on a general entertainment channel going forward not solely just focusing on women.

Has YoutubeTV released any statement on why they dropped Decades in most markets ? StartTV is pretty worthless like TBD.
I still have Decades on my indoor antennas so I'm OK other than the ability to record.
I still really like Youtube TV for my needs.It's a very reliable streaming service as long as your internet connection is strong as with any streaming service. The recorder lets you record unlimited content and the shows stay in your library for 9 months. It gives me my local channels like The CW, ABC, NBC,CBS,Fox,MYTV and Comet. I get those on my antenna too but it's nice not to have to bounce back and forth.
At first I had buffering issues but had the cable company remove all my splitters so one cable would run directly into the modem and have had no issues since.It has all the sports channels I used to have with Spectrum at half the cost. BTN,SEC Network,FS1,FS2,ESPN,ESPN2,ESPNU,ESPN News,3 local Fox Sports channels,NBC Sports and CBS Sports.

Watching the Get Smart marathon on WQEK-LD in Memphis and the signal is awful. Lots of pixelation and sound hiccups.
