The struggling three-hour morning show that launched with high expectations on April 2 will be reduced to two hours, with SportsCenter taking over the 7 a.m. ET hour, ESPN announced. Co-host Beadle will exit after Aug. 29 and move to Los Angeles to host NBA Countdown. The news of Beadle's departure comes one day after she said she was boycotting watching college football and the NFL (https://sports.yahoo.com/espns-michelle-beadle-says-doesnt-watch-nfl-college-football-165955596.html) for the second year in a row because she feels football doesn't care about women. This led to a backlash (https://nypost.com/2018/08/23/michelle-beadles-football-boycott-shows-get-up-botched-from-the-start/) questioning how somebody can co-host a daily sports show without watching two of the most important sports -- and a backlash to the backlash (https://deadspin.com/it-doesnt-matter-if-michelle-beadle-doesnt-watch-footba-1828563196) pointing out that most sports TV hosts probably don't watch much sports on television. Beadle's exit was reportedly already in the works (https://twitter.com/richarddeitsch/status/1033146883651395584) when she made her football comments on Thursday. ESPN spent a lot of money on Get Up!, including $14.5 million in salaries for its three co-hosts (http://awfulannouncing.com/espn/get-hosts-14-5-million-salaries-get-sports-world.html), yet it hasn't been able to find a substantial audience.

ESPN has nothing to do with sports. I have no idea who this bimbo is because ESPN might as well not be on my TV station list. Sports isn't sports anymore. It's a dog and pony show. Waaaa, football doesn't care about women. Football shouldn't care about women. Football should care about football. That's why I gave it up 20+ years ago. I used to have season tickets. I couldn't tell you who won the Super Bowl last year. TV has become the star and the game is ignored except for gang tattooed morons dancing in the end zone.

I give Get Up a chance on ESPN but it seems that many viewers mostly tune into Good Morning America on ABC, Today Show on NBC & Good Morning Football on NFL Network every weekday. ESPN should do something better.

ESPN's Get Up! revamp makes it look and feel like SportsCenter (https://thebiglead.com/2018/09/07/mike-greenberg-get-up-stephen-a-smith/)
"So far, Get Up! 2.0 has not featured nearly the amount of conversation between the hosts that the show once did," Bobby Burack says of ESPN's expensive morning show that premiered earlier this year and was rebooted this week. "It instead includes much more highlights, interviews, statistics, with the opinions coming from the guests. That combination is essentially the format SportsCenter looks like now. Several times this week, they have even incorporated the classic 'SportsCenter Top 10 Plays' segment."
