The CW has set dates for its annual DC/WBTV crossover. The three-night event kicks off with "The Flash" on at 8 PM Sunday, December 9, followed by "Arrow" on at 8 PM December 10 and capping off with "Supergirl" on December 11.

For this year’s crossover, "The Flash" and "Supergirl" will swap time slots. "The Flash" normally airs on Tuesdays and "Supergirl" on Sunday. "Arrow" airs in its regular Monday night slot.

The crossover also will mark the first appearance of Batwoman (Ruby Rose). At its upfront presentation in the spring, The CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “This is the first time ever that Batwoman make a live-action appearance on any screen.”

Warner Bros TV Imports DC’s Elseworlds to The CW Superhero Crossover
by Geoff Boucher
Sept. 26, 2018

The upcoming annual crossover event of Warner Bros TV’s superhero shows on The CW will have a backdrop concept of Elseworlds, which suggests the three-night story may be a stand-alone “What if?”-type story separate from the familiar and ongoing mythology.

Elseworlds was an acclaimed imprint that DC Comics launched in 1989 with Gotham by Gaslight, which featured art by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and reimagined Batman as a 19th century manhunter tangling with the infamous Jack the Ripper.

Another Elseworlds issue melded the mythology of Green Lantern and Aladdin, while a third superimposed the Superman origin story over a medieval knight saga.
