Does anybody knows what's coming this fall on GetTV ?

I know that Married With Children is coming and that In The Heat Of The Night is leaving (to be moved on MeTV).

Not exactly the greatest schedule. 4 hrs. a day of Walker, Texas Ranger? 3 hrs. a day of All In The Family?

It looks like 5 hours of Walker, Texas Ranger and 4 hours of All In The Family to me. Of course they will probably air the same episodes more than once a day too.

In the Heat of the Night has been a mainstay at GetTV lately. On the other hand, It will soon to start airing on MeTV beginning September 3rd.

Designing Women at 3am is absurd. I haven't seen those episodes in years and would love to watch again.

I think I'm pretty much done watching GetTV. Most of their schedule doesn't interest me, and they now telecast in widescreen instead of fullscreen, which as far as I'm concerned is just another strike against them. I might tune in occasionally to see some of the old variety shows like Sonny & Cher but that's it.

Last year when GetTV was still telecasting in fullscreen, I recorded the episodes of the sitcoms Peter Loves Mary and The Girl With Something Extra. These shows are nice additions to my TV show collection.

I don’t like Get because they don’t show the full credits and just use their own customized credits to play over the last scene of the show.

Yes I've noticed that they've started doing this. Not good. Last year when I was recording Peter Loves Mary and Girl With Something Extra, fortunately everything was shown intact including the closing credits. Only problem was, there were four Peter Loves Mary episodes that didn't air, and one episode of Girl With Something Extra that didn't air, also one of the GWSE episodes is an edited version but the rest are uncut. So while GetTV didn't do a perfect job with these, not every episode aired and one episode is edited, what they did show is certainly a lot better than nothing.

Since when GetTV is in widescreen ? It's true widescreen or it's stretched ?

I call it widescreen because I now receive GetTV with black bars at the top and bottom of the picture, where previously the channel had a fullscreen picture. Widescreen or stretched, whatever it is I don't like it.
