Mr. Television 08-14-2018, 03:16 PM Never even heard of that one, sorry.
That show is from the same producers of Matlock, In the Heat of the Night and Diagnosis Murder. It hasn't really been seen much since it went off the air but it did last 5 years. It stars William Conrad of Cannon.
snowpeck 08-14-2018, 03:27 PM Do you also happen to know the upcoming Decades binges for September?
The only one I have is September 8th and 9th, which is The Beverly Hillbillies.
Svenfan1234 08-14-2018, 03:30 PM The only one I have is September 8th and 9th, which is The Beverly Hillbillies.
snowpeck, do you have any info on the upcoming Svengoolie movies in September? Thanks in advance.

I've heard of the other shows, but just didn’t know what that one was.
snowpeck 08-14-2018, 03:38 PM snowpeck, do you have any info on the upcoming Svengoolie movies in September? Thanks in advance.
All I have is 9/8, which is "Terror Out of the Sky" (1978).
tlc38tlc38 08-14-2018, 03:48 PM Positives:
"In the Heat of the Night" weekdays!!
"Green Acres"!!!
"Mama's Family" & "The Jeffersons" still on weekdays
Negatives:
Still too many westerns
"MASH" & "Hogan" STILL on
"MASH" added to Sunday
Too much "Gilligan's" on Sunday
"Green Acres" only on Saturday at a bad time
BigManMike 08-14-2018, 04:12 PM This is pathetic. Hardly anything has changed. Why can’t they ever move shows to other timrslots so everyone can get a chance to watch it and not always show it at the same time for years when it’s inconvenient for some? This channel is going downhill quickly. Only real positive is that there’s no credit crunch like on Antenna. I’ll be anxious to see if get that new channel Start TV.
BigManMike 08-14-2018, 04:13 PM Snowpeck, any word on September Decades binges?

September 8th and 9th, which is The Beverly Hillbillies.
snowpeck 08-14-2018, 04:47 PM And in case anyone was wondering, In the Heat of the Night is leaving GetTV at the end of this month.
BigManMike 08-14-2018, 06:38 PM September 8th and 9th, which is The Beverly Hillbillies.
Finally something decent. Hopefully it will follow with Petticoat Junction.

When shows does well in rating they don't change it also if you have a DVR then you can record the shows that you can't see in the mornings and then you can watch it any time.

It's what i do. I never watch any of these shows at their scheduled time.
TV Guy 08-14-2018, 07:52 PM “Diagnosis Murder” is technically a spninoff of “Jake and the Fatman”. Dick Van Dyke first appeared on “Jake” as Dr. Mark Sloan, in a backdoor pilot episode, in which Sloan and his intern solve a murder. CBS ordered a Sloan TV movie pilot based on that episode, but the only cast member to carry over was Van Dyke.

And Jake and the Fatman is sort of a spin off of Matlock too. Same type of characters and same actors that ended up over at CBS.

Wow, I never knew that! :eek:I've never seen Jake and the Fatman ! ;)
stevea 08-14-2018, 10:30 PM Like we needed MASH on another day. Why not bring back Mayberry RFD? That's had a long rest.
At least we lost a Western on weekdays.
I guess they finally found success at 5 pm and 6 pm. They've had trouble at those times and have frequently changed them. The combo of Mama and The Jeffs. must work.
icecream 08-15-2018, 12:51 AM The combo of Mama and The JeffsThat sounds like it could be a band name. ;)
MikeLutton 08-15-2018, 01:20 AM schould put All in the famil next to mama n keep Jeffersons that be intesting neighborhood
AMackII 08-15-2018, 03:56 AM Its surprising that the westerns have cut back to 4 hours on weekdays while Gilligan’s Island & ALF each getting additional hours on Sunday. Too bad the Original Star Trek & Batman are off the schedule with The Odd Couple(Original) as week of September 3rd.
PhoenixAcres 08-15-2018, 08:09 PM Thank you for providing this info snowpeck

Sorry for being blunt, but METV Fall Schedule sucks. None of those shows I have an interest in seeing. :(
Bonniegirl 08-16-2018, 01:47 AM That sounds like it could be a band name. ;)
Sung to the tune of Elton John's Benny and the Jets ! " Ma Ma Ma Mama and the Jeffs"

One good thing is In the heat of the night! That is excellent !;) I love that show! And 12 noon is a good time for me.:) I'm glad they are cutting out a western and putting on such a good show! Other than that Green acres is cool, but on only one day and too early. And IDK do we really need 3 hours of Gilligan's Island?. I like it but that is a little bit overkill 6 eps. at a time , well only one day on Sunday but still! ? And more Mash!:p:( I'd rather them keep the Odd Couple on!!
But I'm really happy about In the heat of the night! :);)
Ryan Chamberlain 08-16-2018, 02:01 AM Darn. My local affiliate preempts Diff'rent Strokes in the mornings.
I was only able to watch it on Sundays. At least I still have The Love Boat.

I'm also happy about ITHOTN. I own the series on DVD but I still enjoy seeing it on TV and I can't get WGN. I wish they'd add Murder, She Wrote.

I used to love watching In the Heat of the Night on This TV and then recently I checked it out again on Get TV. I stopped watching after a few episodes, sadly didn't hold up for me. Maybe it'll change if I watch it on MeTV. Who knows?
Can't wait to see Green Acres!
Svenfan1234 08-21-2018, 01:14 PM And in case anyone was wondering, In the Heat of the Night is leaving GetTV at the end of this month.

snowpeck 08-21-2018, 06:29 PM snowpeck, what's the Svengoolie for September 15th? Thanks.
Rodan (1956).
Also, the Decades binges on 9/15 and 9/22 are Get Smart and Hawaii Five-O, respectively.

Too bad I won't be able to see the Decades binges anymore.
Madge1957 08-22-2018, 08:22 AM UGH! I love the Odd Couple. Can't we go one day without MASH?? And does anyone know if Kolchak goes away on Saturday?
MASH should just vanish off the schedule, period.
Madge1957 08-22-2018, 08:34 AM MASH should just vanish off the schedule, period.
Yes, especially because there are several cable stations that marathon it constantly. MASH is so over-hyped. I'd rather have Hogan's Heroes or McHale's Navy in MASH's time-slot.
And Gilligan is great, but THREE HOURS is just too much!

Get Smart. Awesome! Finally something good for a change.
BigManMike 08-22-2018, 01:59 PM How about just McHale's Navy and not Hogan's Heroes?
Exactly. MASH and Hogan’s Heroes both need to disappear.
snowpeck 08-22-2018, 08:07 PM Svengoolie on 9/22 is Revenge of the Creature (1955).
Svenfan1234 08-22-2018, 10:31 PM Svengoolie on 9/22 is Revenge of the Creature (1955).
Hoping it actually airs this time. ;) good movie, though.

Mash should only stay on one channel/network and that’s it.
treky 08-26-2018, 12:38 AM Mash should only stay on one channel/network and that’s it.
:yeahthat
and that channel should DEFINETALT NOT be ME TV!! They've had it WAAAY too long-I think ever since they started. Annd always 2 episodes back-to-back in the same time slot.
MASH must be a HUUUGE hit for them.

I agree. My Late Mother and I hated MASH. I think it's too dry and over-hyped. I thought I was the only one.

icecream 08-29-2018, 06:55 PM The 3 hour tour for Gilligan's Island on Sundays makes total sense since that was the whole premise of the show. Every day would be a bit much for that, but I don't think Gilligan airs on weekdays any more, just Sundays.

It's overkill is what it is. 3 hours of Gilligan on Sundays is far too much. There go Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes at decent times.
icecream 08-29-2018, 07:08 PM It's overkill is what it is. 3 hours of Gilligan on Sundays is far too much. There go Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes at decent times.Facts and Strokes should get decent slots on weekday afternoons/evenings instead and cut back on all the weekday westerns.

I agree with that.

Ditto. Those and My Three Sons should be in primetime. Hogan's Heroes needs to go.
icecream 08-29-2018, 07:23 PM Ditto. Those and My Three Sons should be in primetime. Hogan's Heroes needs to go.Do they still have Family Affair? If not, Antenna should snatch up the rights.

Yeah, Decades is airing it, but I don't think Me TV is. Good show.
MASH should go as well. Keep it on either Sundance or TV Land.

mets82 09-23-2018, 11:13 PM That's why I am posting after 3 weeks although it seemed longer. Listen to this, I might have ME-TV. I have Comcast again and going through the channel lineup, Channel 190, has Peter Gunn, Maude, One Day at A Time listed. Now, when I turn on 190, it's a simulcast of Channel 22 which is a Gospel Channel. Could it be that I have ME-TV again?

snowpeck 09-25-2018, 02:47 PM Svengoolie on October 20th is "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" (1948) and October 27th is "13 Ghosts" (1960).
Svenfan1234 09-27-2018, 07:20 PM October 27th is "13 Ghosts" on Svengoolie according to zap2it. I wouldn't be surprised if November 3rd is "The Tingler" and November 10th is "Strait-Jacket." Just my speculation, though. He did say "some William Castle movies" when he aired "5000 Fingers of Dr. T", not "a couple", but "some", so I strongly believe that The Tingler & Strait-Jacket will be shown in November and I Saw What You Did will likely be repeated again late this year.

Svenfan1234 10-10-2018, 12:59 PM November 10th according to zap2it on Svengoolie is the classic "The Tingler." I have a bad feeling that November 3rd is the horrid TV movie "Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women", but I hope I'm wrong.
