What your favorite comic strip? I like The Peanuts, Mother Goose And Grimm, Garfield, and some others, but my favorite is The Farside. I think its really funny I have one of the comics in my signature. What are your guys favorites?

I like the comics Garfield and Archie and The Far Side is very funny, too.

Family Circus :)

Number one fave is "Hi & Lois" my second favorite is "Family Circus" and my third favorite is "Beetle Bailey". I think Beetle and the gang should be a cartoon series.

I like Beetle Bailey too! My ultimate favorite is "For better or worse" and "Blondie" but I read them all on Sunday mornings! I don't read the black and white ones in the weekday paper though...but sunday color comics rock!

The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes were great, too. I still miss them. :(

I have tons of funny farside pics, from my calendar and book. I can't scan this one right now but its The Aligator Calling Captain Hook and he says "Tick, Tock,Tick, Tock Tick, Tock,Tick, Tock", I think they are all funny.

I never realized that somany shows on TV were spun from comics. At the site I got the Hi & Lois comic from at King Features Syndicate (http://www.kingfeatures.com/features/) I found out that before she was on TV "Hazel" (which starts on TVLand on Sunday) is a comic that originated in 1943. And she's still in newspapers. She's not in any of mine tho.Dennis the Menace (which started on TVLand on Monday) is one. I have him in mine. Batman is one. Which others do you know about?

I like Nancy and Rhymes with Orange.....but those I think are local ones, so I don't know if you'd know them.

I think Nancy and Rhymes with Orange are in the Atlanta comics, but I don't think they appear in the Macon paper. My faves are Garfield (I love the ones with spiders in it. lol) Peanuts, Blondie, Marvin. I can't remember any more. lol

"Mutts" is my favorite.

I wish they would do an animated special based on that strip.

MonarC gave me the idea to do this thread, so what comic strips do you really enjoy in the newspaper? I always read Pickles (I LOVE this one!), Family Circus (can get old and sappy though), Grand Avenue (not exactly funny, but I just like the things they say), For Better or For Worse, Fox Trot, and Arlo and Janis (well, just when they have their cat in it!)

The only ones I remember making me laugh out loud were Far Side, Bloom County, Peanuts
