The ABC sitcom's tributes to 1980s films continues with the season premiere, titled "Sixteen Candles" after the 1984 John Hughes teen classic.

This annoying family is going to pay homage to Sixteen Candles? What a joke. How are they going to do that, with the father calling everybody a moron every other sentence? Talk about overdone. This show is not only full of annoying characters, especially the father who REALLY is a moron but it's some of the worse, unfunny writing of any sitcom ever done. To have these people pay homage to anything would be an insult to that genre.
