I've seen Decades and MeTV shows The Facts of Life, but will there be a marathon in dedication of Charlotte Rae this weekend?

No word yet. I'm betting there will be, though. I'd be willing to bet on it.

In the meantime, I'm campaigning for something that isn't available to view anywhere---the entire 2-hour celebration of Charlotte Rae's 90th birthday on The Hallmark Channel's "Home and Family" show (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=374200). That was such an amazing "Facts" event that they just have to show that again, or upload the whole thing...(I hope!)

I'll stick to my DVDs for a dedication marathon. No channel can do a series justice in reruns. Everything is too focused on advertisements now and giving commercials more time than the program people are tuning in to see.

It’s not a marathon. Just an episode of each. I really hope Decades does a marathon. They did one back in February. Most of their marathons lately have been junk. It would be nice to see something good like this.

So do I, but it's the principle of the thing; usually when this happens there is something longer, like a 4 or 6-hour marathon. And for people who don't have the DVDs it would be very nice, and perhaps spur them to buy the DVDs.

Logo is a trashy channel that airs 18 minute episodes of Facts of Life with no real credits and lots of scenes missing. At least I have the DVDs, which are 99% uncut except for three(?) episodes.

Hate the channel all you want but at least they have the decency to honor Charlotte's memory the way it should be. This is more than any other channel is doing so far. Personally all channels suck for reruns, not just Logo. Just because one channel may air the credits doesn't mean they're better at cutting the episodes down for commercials than the other channel. I stick with DVDs these days. Cable is a waste of money.

MeTV is showing the first episode of Facts on Sunday and the lead up Diff'rent Strokes. Lame as that is, At least they'll be showing a bit more Facts than Logo (about 3 1/2 more minutes to be exact). Antenna TV and MeTV are really good rerun channels.

That's not a tribute. It's like one person stated earlier in this thread, an insult. Whether they're edited badly, what Logo is doing is actually a tribute to Charlotte's memory.

I'd rather see one episode not badly edited than several crammed into 18-minute episodes. I can't get Logo anyway, but wouldn't watch if I did. It's the worst channel on the air.
