View Full Version : Antenna TV Fall schedule?
cfr1970 08-05-2018, 11:35 PM They usually switch up their schedule around Labor Day each year, but since they just made changes in July, will there be no changes come September?
I wish they'd drop that god awful "Soap" and replace it with....anything else!
Svenfan1234 08-06-2018, 10:17 AM I hope they change it too. Bring back Doogie Howser, Mr. Belvedere and Evening Shade. And Gimme a Break is desperately asking to be replaced. And, Head of the Class, The Hogan Family, Growing Pains and Silver Spoons all need to come to primetime hours weeknights. I hope we hear something about a fall schedule soon!

Agreed about Gimme a Break...one cycle watching was enough for me. I love the first season, but that's it.
Evening Shade I enjoyed and would like to see come back, along with One Day at a Time and The Patty Duke Show...I liked watching that each morning and miss it...and the DVD's are pretty expensive for such an old show.
I don't watch Antenna, but I have a friend who likes Gimme A Break, so I hope it stays in a good time slot.
AMackII 08-06-2018, 12:11 PM The Fall 2018 Antenna TV Schedule have not been released yet because i think Antenna TV can make scheduling changes for the September thru December period. I too tried to watch Gimme A Break on Antenna TV at some point but it seemly didn't work out for myself.

I think One Day at a Time may be headed to MeTV, but that's just my speculation, seeing as they also have The Jeffersons which is from the Sony library and premiered with One Day at a Time, plus it's complete on DVD. The Patty Duke Show was on MeTV also at one point, then on Antenna TV, now nowhere apparently. I'd like to see it resurface on one of the retro channels as well. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Yeah , I esp. like Gimme a break, the Jonathan years!
Perfect time for me would be 12 noon or 12:30 or somewhere between 6 to 8 PM PST !! ;)

I hope One Day at a Time comes to MeTV. I’m more anxious to see the fall schedule for MeTV since that’s the one I watch.
It would be nice if Antenna TV would come back to my area.

They're selling for $80 at Amazon, but I saw it at on the shelf at my local Walmart for just $56.99 while their website says $75! I wanted so bad to pick it up and toss it into my cart, but will wait for possible Black Friday sales to snag it. Until then, it taunts me whenever I pass by the rack to check if it's still there. I wish I were rich! :(
Walmart also had All in the Family complete series for same $56.99 price while advertising higher online. So check store shelves before buying online.

Nah, 2 AM is too late for me!! Jonathan would have to be completely naked for me to be up at that hour watching !!:eyes: 2AM EST would work, 11 PM PST , I could watch it right before bed! ;)

I love all the seasons and think it's one of the few sitcoms that never really had a bad season. I do enjoy the episodes more where Julie is back, but it's a small nit pick.

I wish they'd drop that awful "Soap" and replace it with....anything else! What I would like to see is Head of the Class put at 3:30PM between Welcome Back, Kotter and Benson. That would make for a fantastic lineup.
icecream 08-06-2018, 06:14 PM I hope they bring back Mr. Belvedere.I am all for Mr. Belvedere returning but didn't Antenna lose the rights earlier this year?

I haven’t seen this at any Walmart’s in Memphis. I wish it was there so bad. I would definitely buy it at the low price people have seen it at in other places.
Svenfan1234 08-06-2018, 06:46 PM I am all for Mr. Belvedere returning but didn't Antenna lose the rights earlier this year?
It was speculated they did but Antenna probably just removed it earlier this year so they could bring it back in the fall. They have removed some of their shows for a long time before they were brought back.

Svenfan1234 08-06-2018, 07:58 PM They have to air the E/I shows between 7AM and 10PM Eastern time because that's how the FCC made the rules. It sucks, though!:angryfire
Also, if they only ran Coach on Sundays, I'd be happy.
icecream 08-06-2018, 08:12 PM In that case I guess switch 5-7AM and 7-9AM on Saturdays and Sundays.

I read or heard someplace that the FCC is considering removal of the the E/I rule. It's a ridiculous rule anyway. With hundreds of channels kids can find what they want.

I sure hope so. I highly doubt very many children are actually watching these EI shows on these digital subchannels.

I have to admit I keep the animal shows on Saturday mornings (I think my bird likes them) and I even enjoy the cooking show "Food for Thought" that comes on at noon.
Now I wouldn't want them on every day, but just for weekend mornings, i'm pretty much ok with them.
I would suggest maybe keeping them on just only either Saturdays or Sundays.

I'd much rather see it go the route of 7-10AM or even 8-11AM instead of 10AM-1PM. The shows need to start earlier on Saturdays. I hope they do away with the EI shows completely (The FCC, that is). That'd sure be a refreshing change.
icecream 08-07-2018, 01:42 PM Head of the Class episode list for August 19 marathon
http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2018/08/antenna-tvs-back-to-school-with-head-of.html
They are going in chronological order for the episodes selected, which is too bad since the pilot I have not gotten to see is buried at 5AM. And that means the 8-11:30PM primetime episodes are all from the Billy Connelly season, although the 2 part series finale should be worth checking out.
Merry24 08-07-2018, 05:14 PM I agree! I wish Marathons would start at 9:00pm.Johnny Carson should air time during Marathons at 8:00pm or 7:30pm depending the length of Johnny Carson.

There's nothing wrong with a lot of these shows--there's one the CW calls E/I, This Old House: Trade School on Saturday (basically, another This Old House) that I enjoy (but I doubt it's big in the junior set). I just don't think we need another rule.

Svenfan1234 08-09-2018, 01:02 PM I hope that eventually on Antenna we get shows like Chico and the Man and It's a Living. They'd make sense, since they're both from WB and Antenna does appear to be working with them.
