If it's a true reboot, would they start off with a big cast, and then fire a bunch of the girls because there's supposedly "too many girls" at a girls' school?

Oh dear Lord. I wonder how the heck they're gonna pull this off. It will almost have to have new characters as none of the cast will most likely want to return.

I'm excited about this. I wonder if they'll get real teenagers to play the girls or young looking 20-30 something adults to play teenagers i.e. 90210/Glee. I also wonder if they'll follow the exact formula from the Original. If not, they should add some more People of color to the main cast. Tootie is great but why not add more?

More would be fine with me, as Peekskill today is only 35% white. Imagine a black Nancy, maybe looking like a young Aisha Tyler: very tall but statuesque. Or Josefina, the new Hispanic student from Washington Heights.

When the One Day at a Time Netflix reboot was announced, I scoffed. But it’s gone on to critical and commercial success, which is good for the original version. Keeps the name alive, and may encourage the younger fans of the new show to seek out the original.

I just hope they don't push their agenda with every episode.
