"It's an ongoing conversation that began almost two years ago now," Grammer tells CBC News of plans to reboot Frasier. He adds: "I played the character for 20 years. It's not the kind of thing you want to go into lightly, mostly because you don't want to disappoint anybody or denigrate what came before."

The same show shouldn't be revived without Martin, but there could be a spin-off centered around adult Frederick Crane, and Niles/Daphne's child that was born in the series finale.

Of all the sequels I've seen in these years, none disappointed me.
Of course without John will not be the same, and they have to approach it with the highest respect. But it's a thing that the writers and the actors of this show can do.
