What will it be like in the top wing, the most high?
Kinda lonely. Quite a few friends in Junior high

I want tp move on with them, it's not a mystery
But I don't Mercer Elementary to be history.

I want to go! I want to move on too!
Instead in the top wing, feeling kinda blue

Of course I'll have friends in my grade. IT isn't going to be wrong

I will just try to survive a year with them gone

Yes I will hae the teachers, my grade friends too. But i will still be blue


Yes I am proud they are moving on,

I will TRY to survive a year with them gone.












I am going to be sad in 6th grade. Do you think I will make through the year with out Alison. Lydia, Kristen, Kim, Amanda, Brandi, Tyrel, Robby, Daryl, Josh, Joel, Sean, Jake, and Caleb? I don't think I will make it. Nothing will cheer me up on Friday watching them graduate. Next year it will be me and then I can see them again but still, 180 days with out them.

I'm guessing these people passed and you didn't. Well don't expect any sympathy from me if you failed. It was your fault that you couldn't keep the grades up.

Oh Sam, that was really touching. I have the same problem. All my frineds are going of to college while I'm gonna spend my senior year to start all over from the begining. Except that all my friends were seniors this year and I'm just a junior. All my clsses were with seniors, and it will be really lonely without them. But it was a hell of a year for me. Ahh, i don't want to start next year. :(

And JT, how do you know she got held back? Maybe she's just in 5th grade. Anyway, that was a really bad comment.

Maybe its just the school. I had block scheduling at my school, so if you missed two days in a row- it would be like missing 4 regular school days. It's tough in some schools to keep your head afloat. The same with absences. They had a very stupid rule at my school that if you miss over 10 days per semester you would lose credit for that class, and if you missed a credit that you really needed- you're pretty much screwed. The principal would keep you from graduating if you missed too many days.


I'm sorry Sam about your situation. Try not to worry about it. You seem like a friendly person, I'm sure you will make more friends when you go back. They won't replace the friends you mentioned in your post. Good luck. :)

i'm guessing she is. anyway, don't worry, you'll make new friends. i kinda can relate to this. every year i always panic about not going to know anyone in my pe class since my friends usually don't have the same class or the same period. but, i always find people. don't think of it as "another 180 days" think of it like "wow! only 180 days till i have lunch with my old buddies!" ok, that wasn't too good, but, anyway. i'm sure you'll make new friends. don't fret.

JT, I don't know how old you are. I try to hold my comments because many of you are young and you all sometimes seem to go out of your way to say something really stupid. I don't know you outside of the boards, but you don't seem like an ass. Some people are ignorant though. If you are big than you don't fit in. If you are skinny. You don't fit in. I don't know about your school, but most of my school was populated by airheads. I hung out with people that I was comfortable with. I don't judge people by what they look like on the outside. The outside doesn't really matter to some people. Some people will get to know you because of your personalty. Just ignore the ones that dislike you. I wasn't Ms. Beauty Queen or Ms. Popularity either, because you can't claim to be either one when you get old.

Just think about when you get rich and famous. It will be a slap in the face to all the ones that disliked you. They could've gotten to know a great person, and could've been able to say, "Well, I knew her. We were best friends." You won't owe them anything, and I'm sure it will stir up jealousy in them that they didn't get to know you.

I coulda been wrong but I was just saying that it's her fault she failed not anybody else's so I'm not gonna say I'm sorry for her. She has to be sorry for herself. She has to take on her own responsibilities. I'm not trying to be rude or mean but I mean isn't calling some one an ass really really mean?

And Sam if you didn't fail or if you failed because of stupid school rules I apologize for THAT but not for the reason I thought you failed. Maybe you can tell us more information about what happened so we can understand what's going on. Now I'm sorry if I hurt you. And to all the others, you know that I'm not a very mean person. This is probably the first ever time in my whole 368 days here that I ever got into an argument in which people say the bad things about me. Well other than my fight with Brandon but he had a whole team against him.

So I'm sorry if I made the wrong assumption and I'm sorry if I hurt you but I'm not sorry if you couldn't keep up the grades......it's funny I thought you guys were my friends.....

We aren't saying we aren't. Now that's being an ass. Just because we all get mad doesn't mean we are automatically saying "We aren't your friends".

And you know what, maybe it's NOT her fault if she failed! People fail for all different reasons. Some people truly are ignorant and don't bother doing sh*t in school. Some people, no matter what, try their HARDEST, but still can't cut it, therefore, teachers think it would just be easier for the student to remain in the grade one more year. Some people have learning disabilities. Some people have problems, emotional or family, that can cause them lack of concentration, even if they are the smartest child in the school! Trust me, I should know that last one.

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh, but I wanted to get my point accross that sometimes it's not a persons fault if they fail.

I'm not jumping on anyone here, but I just wanted to say that sometimes certain people can't keep the grades no matter how hard they try. Whether it be for a disability or just that they blank out on tests, it is very hard for them. I know some people who study INCREDIBLY hard, harder than myself and my friends, and they still don't get the grades just because of the way their brain functions. If you study hard and work hard at it and are still unable to achieve the grades you believe you deserve, then I don't see that as being your fault be any means.
I also don't think that poem called for sympathy from any of us. It all depends on how you interprut it and people were just trying to be nice when they sympathized with her...


Well, that's my take on people who work hard and still are unable to achieve just because that's the way God made them...

...I'm gonna head to my hole now to just relax cause, well, it's summer and I deserve a weekend of relaxation I do believe;)

First of all, I know who the hell I am. This was a WHOLE mistake that could've happened to ANYONE!!!! Guys, I really hate to see everybody fighting with each other. We are really a tight knit group that works good together. I hate to see this one topic piss off some so much that they leave the boards all together.

Sam, you do have my deepest sympathies. I know you will miss your friends, and I know you will probably dread going back to school because you're friends won't be with you. As somebody else said in this topic, don't let it spoil your year. Just think of when you get to be reunited with your older friends. Don't think of it as 180 days of hell, or else that will spoil the whole year. I wish you luck, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that wishes you luck. Being without your best friends for a year is rough, but at least you are still in the same town with your friends. Just imagine those that have to move all the way across the United States and has no other choice, but to make new friends.

And Sam, I understand what you're going through, but there is a time to let go of the past. I mean, there are other people out there. Plus, you can always go over for a slumber party, or something. They're not moving out, or anything, are they? When you grow older, I'm sure you'll see them again. Just concentrate on your future. It's no use weeping for the past. Just remember to telephone them and keep in touch. There's no way they can actually "leave" you and literally be gone. So, yeah... I'm BS-ing here, but I think you'll see my point. You are right Jenny I am sorry. This is just really emotional. AT our graduation ceremony I was crying. This is a really hard time and I just had to pour my guts out. I didn't think we would all take it so seriously. I apologize and if you guys accept I would appreciate it. And karli, about the nice posts turning into bs, it is my fault. and JT, you really are a nice guy. Sorry for what i said.
