Which tickles your funny bone more; a good joke, a pratfall, or is what you find funny more subtle than that?
Sometimes, the way the actor reacts to a situation can be more funny than the situation itself.

Agree!!;) Facial expressions and mannerisms in a character , also the way a line is delivered can make a funny scene even more hilarious! :D
Tim Allen's grunt in the Home Improvement opening theme
The way that John Larroquette says his lines in the Night Court episode A Guy Named Phantom.

I prefer funny lines vs the sometimes too long physical comedy scenes. Fred and Ethel Mertz of I love Lucy had funny lines and they weren't involved with anything physical
I'm a fan of a well-crafted joke that makes you think. IMO, some comedies spell the joke out for you because they're afraid it will go over your head.
Not to say I can't laugh at an obvious punchline, or that none of today's comedies are good, it's just nuance is everything. Less is more.

I always get a kick out of slapstick comedy such as Soupy Sales when he gets hit with a pie and Steve Harvey on Family Feud when he reacts to a contestant's answer that's somewhat off the wall.

- Characters getting themselves in ridiculous situations ( EX : Getting stuck in an elevator)
- Slapstick Comedy never fails to make me laugh. That's why I watch a lot of The Marx Brothers

I have a pretty wide idea of what's funny.
In a sitcom I think character reactions are crucial to a scene's success.
Physical comedy is extremely effective if well executed and not overused.
Completely random non sequitur absurdity is top tier humor as far as I'm concerned.
